A black dog has also been reported sitting by the entrance, but witnesses say it disappears if you get close. Ancient Ram Inn, UK The inn located in the Gloucestershire town of Wotton-under-Edge has reportedly left guests jumping out of their windows out of fear from ghost sightings. It was built in 1145 on pagan burial ground and the ghosts are thought to be relics of witch burnings, Satanic rituals and child sacrifices. The home was purchased by a couple the following year but they left after a month of moving in due to paranormal activity, inspiring The Amityville Horror book and film. Lawang Sewu, Indonesia The building that was the headquarter of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company in the colonial era is said it be haunted by headless spirits. It was also used as a Japanese prison in World War II. The Waverly Hills Sanatorium, US The former sanatorium in Jefferson County, Kentucky used to be a hospital for people with Tuberculosis. Its fifth floor is rumoured to be haunted and the building features a body chute that would have been used for corpses of the deceased. Bhangarh Fort, India This 16th-century fort is thought to be one of the most haunted places in India, and visitors are banned from going there after dark. According to legend, it is cursed by a hermit named Guru Balu Nath and is built on the site where he used to meditate. LaLaurie Mansion, US Marie Delphine Macarty was a New Orleans socialite who tortured and murdered enslaved people in her house in 1834. Her crimes were discovered after a fire at her mansion when enslaved people were found bound in her attic. They displayed signs of long-term abuse and cruelty. Zvíkov Castle, Czech Republic Located in a break in the woods in the Czech Republic, Zvíkov Castle is believed to be haunted by spectral dogs and a kind of magical imp called the Zvíkovský Rarášek. It is said that people who sleep in the castle’s tower will die within one year and visitors have reported animals behaving strangely and cameras breaking out of nowhere. Catacombs, France Paris’s famous underground network of tunnels were first built at the end of the 18th century. They are lined with the bones of millions of bodies as cemeteries at the time overflowed. Legend says that if you’re in the catacombs after midnight, the walls begin speaking and persuading those inside to go deeper in until they become lost and can’t find a way out. Museo Casa de la Zacatecana, Mexico This museum is inside a historic home from the 17th century that is home to a number of ghosts following two gruesome murders. Legend has it that the woman of the home asked one of her servants to kill her husband. After he had done it, the woman then killed the servant herself so he couldn’t tell anyone. It is said that she buried the bodies in the stables. To this day, two skeletons can be seen in a covered opening in the floor. The Myrtles Plantation, US Constructed in 1796, not only was this historic home a slave plantation but it was also built on a Native American burial ground. It is thought to be one of America's most haunted homes with 12 ghosts roaming its halls. Have your say in our news democracy. Rosanna Pansino apologises to MrBeast after sparking YouTube drama with editing complaints
Rosanna Pansino has apologised after accusing MrBeast of unfairly editing her during a recent video. The YouTuber previously accused MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, of effectively lying about the outcome of a recent viral challenge. Pansino competed in one of the three hide-and-seek challenges hosted by MrBeast in Creator Games 3, and she previously accused MrBeast of presenting a version of events which didn’t really happen and reducing her role in the clip. The YouTuber posted a message on Twitter/X last week with the caption: “I have been allowing others to treat me poorly in private for many years and I’m fed up. Extreme $1,000,000 Hide And Seek www.youtube.com “I am going to start standing up for myself and finding my voice.” The content creator wrote: “When the video was released I was shocked, disappointed, and felt hurt. MrBeast (Jimmy) had edited the video to make me look like I performed worse than I did. This was extra upsetting because I genuinely believed him when he said that his videos are ‘authentic and real’.” Pansino also disputed the top three shown in the video, which were Zach King, Logan Paula and Larray. “The final [three] people were actually Zach, Quackity, and myself,” Pansino said. “This is what actually happened. Despite Jimmy editing out the only female in the top [three], I was proud of what I achieved.” Now, Pansino has apologised to MrBeast. She deleted the tweets and said sorry for criticising him publicly, while also stating that she had received death threats after posting on social media. “I would like to apologize to MrBeast,” she wrote. “I should have expressed my feelings privately and handled things directly. “I will be removing all of the posts where I talk about Creator Games and Jimmy. I will be honest in that the thousands of death threats I've received today are a contributing factor, but I do also sincerely hear the feedback from so many of you.” Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Have your say in our news democracy. Man branded an 'a**hole' for making 'obese' flight passenger pay $150 to sit next to him
A man has sparked a debate on Reddit after he admitted to making an 'obese' passenger pay him an extra $100 because he took up part of his seat. The supposed incident was reported on the infamous subreddit "Am I The A**hole?' where the user asked: 'AITA for making an obese man pay me cash to take up part of my seat on a long flight?' According to the man he was on a 5-hour cross-country flight where he had purposefully booked an aisle seat in a row of just two meaning there was no middle seat; just an aisle and a window seat. The user said that he saw the other passenger coming and was 'crossing his fingers' that he wasn't sitting next to him but sure enough he was. The man continues: "I get up and let him in politely, wanting to at least give him a chance. Well, he sits down and is easily seeping into about 1/3 of my seat. I sit down and am pressed up against him, making me uncomfortable. After a minute, I decided to be upfront and tell him: “Sir, I’m sorry but this situation is not working for me, you’re taking up quite a bit of my seat”. He added that the passenger just gave him a 'shrug' and tried to make himself narrower by tightening his arms but did little to appease the disgruntled man. He eventually decided to consult an air stewardess who told him the only way he they could resolve the issue was to buy another seat or book another flight. There were no other seats available on the plane though and the man admitted that he couldn't wait for a later flight, that's when he decided to make the 'obese' man an offer: "Look, I’ll put up with this if you give me $150 — that’s half the cost of this flight and that would compensate me enough for the circumstances." Amazingly, he claimed that the other man instantly agreed to this deal and not only paid him in cash but also told him that he 'appreciated' it. However, despite both men reportedly being happy with the resolution the man claimed that others on board were quietly judging him and branded him an 'a**hole' for making the other man pay to sit next to him. Needless to say many felt the man was out of order for the way he acted. One person said: "The problem here was that this large dude stuck you with being uncomfortable on your flight, right? Well, the $150 didn't make you any less squished in your seat, so it really feels like you just blackmailed this guy for being fat." Another wrote: "This is ridiculous. You made a scene and embarrassed the man and then made him pay you for a fraction of your seat. You are the epitome of an a**hole." A third added: "You didn’t settle this privately—you humiliated the guy by involving the flight attendant and then demanding $150 to allow him to stay on this flight." Some did defend him though feeling that the other man and the airline were in the wrong. One said: "He should have bought two seats, this is his fault, in fact he got off well with it. He agreed and you agreed. I am sure if the people behind you were in the same position they would have thought differently." A second person wrote: "You compromised. He compromised. It was an awkward situation of nobody's making. I think half the cost of the flight was maybe a bit steep though, if he was only in a third of your seat. Having said that, five hours is a long time." The MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino controversy explained as YouTuber is accused of 'faking videos'
Another day, another beef in the world of online content creation – and this time, it’s between MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino. While it’s normally the likes of Logan Paul or more recently SSSniperWolf and JacksFilms sparking drama, this time MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino are the ones causing all the fuss. So what’s it all about? MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is the biggest name on YouTube with 204 million subscribers. Pansino is a big name too, with more than 14.5 million subscribers herself. However, she’s accusing him of lying about the outcome of a recent viral challenge. Pansino competed in one of the three hide-and-seek challenges hosted by MrBeast in Creator Games 3. Pansino is now accusing MrBeast of manipulating the edit to present a version of events which didn’t really happen and effectively reducing her role in the clip. Extreme $1,000,000 Hide And Seek www.youtube.com The YouTuber posted a message on Twitter/X with the caption: “I have been allowing others to treat me poorly in private for many years and I’m fed up. “I am going to start standing up for myself and finding my voice.” The content creator wrote: “When the video was released I was shocked, disappointed, and felt hurt. Despite Jimmy editing out the only female in the top [three], I was proud of what I achieved.” Pansino doesn't appear to be backing down either as she has now released a series of DM's which she claims were from Donaldson who was asking her to ring him. In the leaked messages Donaldson appeared to ask Pansino to call him to "figure out what happened." She explained that she had no intention of causing drama but was "really hurt by the editing decisions." She added: "Editing me out of the top 3 and making me look like I performed worse than I did felt awful. Quackity was also edited out of the top 3 and he also talked about it." Donaldson replied: "Obviously I wasn’t trying to make you look bad! Just give me a time we can chat, I’m not mad or anything. Just want to help." Pansino added: "I’ll give you some time to look into it and remember and then we can discuss. I’m more than happy to review all the raw footage to help show the timeline of events. Feel free to send it over to my team. Let me know.” She has also claimed that when she asked Donaldson for 'raw footage' he went 'radio silent' on her. You can now get paid £300 to drink pumpkin spice lattes all autumn
Autumn lovers are ecstatic to see the return of cosiness, with a season filled with pumpkin spice lattes, Gilmore Girls and cinnamon-scented candles. But what if we said you could be paid to do all of the above? That's right. Lingerie brand Pour Moi is on the hunt for a 'cosy coordinator,' and all they have to do is their favourite cosy season tasks while wearing their bras and pants. For the new role, the brand wants someone who knows pumpkin spices from their hot chocolates and loves nothing more than a cosy night on the sofa. The job tasks include drinking some of the season's most popular autumn-inspired hot drinks, watching your favourite fall-feeling box set or film and curling up on the sofa with a good book - all whilst wearing Pour Moi’s comfortable range of non-wired bras and soft pants. The successful candidate will be paid £300 for simply enjoying their favourite season. Emma Woodrow, Junior Buyer for Lingerie from Pour Moi, said: "Autumn is the perfect season to settle down and get cosy, but you might not think that underwear would be the comfiest thing to have on whilst snuggling up on the sofa enjoying a cosy afternoon in. "However, we’ve made it our focus to make sure that you have supportive and comfortable lingerie for all occasions, including relaxing at home. We’re excited to launch this new Cosy Coordinator role, to ensure that our super soft bras and pants are the best they can be for a lazy weekend in - proving you can be cosy and supported at the same time."
