Elon Musk rocked up on The Joe Rogan Experience once again this week – and as you’d expect, there were plenty of talking points. His appearances on the show have always raised eyebrows. The first time he was on The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk made a splash by smoking (and choking on) a large joint. This time was no different, with Musk kicking off by lighting a cigar and speaking to Rogan, who was wearing a blonde wig and a Puerto Rico shirt throughout the interview to mark Halloween. Here are the biggest talking points from the new interview. Shooting a Tesla Cybertruck The long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck is (finally) almost here, and the pair talked about the durability of the build construction of the new model. Then, Rogan took things into his own hands and made a modest $1 bet with Musk, one of the richest people on the planet, that he could pierce the bodywork by shooting it with a bow and arrow. He then took himself down to the garage Musk’s car was parked in and shot it – in the end, it was Musk who won the bet. Slamming George Soros Musk once again criticised billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros, who previously annoyed Musk by dumping Tesla stock. “He is, I believe, the top contributor to the Democratic party. The second one was Sam Bankman-Fried,” Musk said. “And Soros, he had a very difficult upbringing… In my opinion, he fundamentally hates humanity. That's my opinion.” He went on to criticise Soros by saying: “He's doing things that erode the fabric of civilization - getting DAs elected who refuse to prosecute crime. “That's part of the problem in San Francisco, and LA, and a bunch of other cities.” Buying Twitter to prevent the “mind virus” Discussing why he wanted to buy Twitter in the first place, Musk said that he wanted to save civilisation. “This is going to sound melodramatic but I was worried that it was having a corrosive effect on civilization,” he said. “Just having a bad impact.” He blamed the city of San Francisco, where the headquarters of the company is located, on liberal attitudes “infecting” staff. “I think part of it is where it's located - which is downtown San Francisco. While I think San Francisco is a beautiful city and we should fight really hard to right the ship of San Francisco. “But if you walk around downtown San Francisco, right near the X headquarters, it's the zombie apocalypse. It's really rough.” He added: “That philosophy is one which was being piped to earth. So, a philosophy that would ordinarily be quite niche, and quite restrained, so the fallout area was limited, was effectively given as an information weapon. Musk went on to say: “Information technology weapon to propagate what is essentially a mind virus to earth. “And the mind virus is very clear if you walk the streets of downtown San Francisco. It is the end of civilization.” Poking fun at Meta’s Threads The pair then discussed the noise surrounding Meta’s Threads, which was launched as a rival to Twitter in the summer. Rogan spoke about the mass emigration to the new social media platform. While it seemed popular at first, the number of regular users has dropped off dramatically. The host said: “It just dropped off within a couple of weeks. Now it's a f***ing ghost town." Musk added: "I mean, [Mark Zuckerberg] himself doesn't post. You gotta use your own product." Claiming Zuckerberg pulled out of their fight Remember back in the summer? It was a simpler time, when two of the richest men on the planet vowed to knock seven bells out of each other in a fight – that never actually happened. Musk and Meta’s Zuckerberg supposedly agreed to fight each other a while back and it never happened. Now, though, Musk claimed during the interview with Rogan that it was Zuckerberg and not him who pulled out of the bout. “I’ll fight you any place, anywhere, under any rules,” Musk stated. Sharing Covid conspiracy theories and criticising people who choose to wear masks Musk spent a chunk of the interview claiming that ventilators used during the pandemic damaged the lungs of patients, saying that the “treatment is worse than the disease”. He and Rogan also went on to criticise people who still chose to wear masks, with Rogan saying: "I think you're gonna be okay [without the mask]. You're probably not gonna be okay breathing that f****ing same air in that mask and all the bacteria spitting out." "Most of the time, a mask is not good for you,” Musk added. Heidi Klum has unveiled her 2023 Halloween costume at her annual New York party - and she's totally stolen the show, as usual. Off the back of last year's worm look, the model this year opted for something big and bold, that involved 10 Cirque du Soleil to bring it to life on the red carpet. Kylie and Kendall Jenner have left some of their fans baffled after joining up to dress as an obscure double act for Halloween. With the spooky holiday upon us, celebrities everywhere have gone all out on their costumes, dressing up as everyone from Britney Spears to Morticia Addams. Many made reference to pop culture icons such as Tina Turner and Marilyn Monroe with the costumes, but sisters Kylie and Kendall caused confusion after dressing as Sugar and Spice from Batman Forever. In a TikTok video, the pair wore their black and white costumes and reenacted a Halloween-themed scene from the film Mean Girls. Kylie wore a black leotard with a red and black wig, while sister Kendall wore a white leotard and white cape with a curled blonde wig. However, it seems some fans were not clued up on who the Jenner sisters were supposed to be dressed up as, as one person commented on social media, saying: “Who are they though?” @kyliejenner sugar & spice Who are Sugar and Spice from Batman Forever? In the 1995 film, Batman Forever, Sugar and Spice were two female characters portrayed by the actresses Drew Barrymore and Debi Mazar. They were characters created to be lovers and molls for Two-Face (aka Harvey Dent), played by Tommy Lee Jones, and able to appeal to both his good and bad side. Sugar and Spice also made an appearance in season 4 of Harley Quinn this year, making it the first time the character pair have been featured in a DC project in 12 years. Despite not knowing the reference to the characters they were dressed as fans of the Jenners nonetheless heaped praise on the pair. On TikTok, one fan commented: “I don’t know what this is but it ATE”. Comedian Rhod Gilbert shared an emotional moment with viewers this week after revealing that he had rung the bell signifying the end of his cancer treatment. In a tearful video, the Welshman told a gathering of friends and family: “You’ve got me through.” He then rang the bell at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment in Cardiff, addressing nurses and doctors by saying: “I’m ringing that bell to say thanks to you.” Gilbert first revealed he had stage four head and neck cancer in July 2022, and has been receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy over the last year. However, he recently received his first clear cancer scan since undergoing treatment at the Velindre Cancer Centre. The clip was from his documentary A Pain in the Neck, which spans the year between receiving his diagnosis and getting the all-clear. A tearful Gilbert said people had been “bringing me meals and giving me lifts [to hospital] every day” and “making me creams for my neck”. The side effects from chemotherapy and radiotherapy are especially brutal when cancer strikes in the head and neck. Gilbert’s entire mouth and throat became covered in ulcers, making it impossible to swallow or keep food down because of nausea. At one point, the comedian was hospitalised because he was unable to eat, and he lost two stone during the treatment. “When I got cancer, to be honest, I was terrified. So I wanted to do something to take my mind off it, make the whole thing feel less scary, and maybe help other people, too. “So I decided to film it all. I really hope that my story gives you a little hope.” Fans on social media were quick to praise Gilbert for his candour in making the show. One called the end of his treatment a “beautiful moment”. Another person said: “Watched your show tonight and I’m so happy you’ve got through this. “I was in the Heath hospital sat behind you and you looked so sad, so I handed you my good luck angel with peace written on it. This is such good news.” And one other added: “My heart fell when I saw Rhod Gilbert was trending, so happy to see it’s because he had finished his cancer treatment.” While laughs were in short supply during the year of filming, the comedian managed to fit in a couple of quips. In Gilbert’s first chemo session, the nurse warned him about side effects, saying that he must use protection if he is sexually active. Gilbert responded: “I’ve got one tonsil, no teeth, a f***ing feeding bag in my stomach and I’m on chemotherapy – the last thing I’m thinking of is going home for a shag.” He had been a patron of the Velindre Cancer Centre for a decade before getting his diagnosis. He said: “All those 10 years as a patron. I’ve heard time and time again how this place is incredible, and how people who work here are bloody angels. “I’ve heard it so many times, and I never thought I’d experience it myself, but I have. Travis Barker has shut down rumours he ever hooked up with Kim Kardashian after comments resurfaced from his 2015 memoir. The Blink-182 drummer's past remarks in which he called Kim "hot" and admitted to "secretly checking her out" resurfaced on social media after a clash between Kourtney and Kim aired on The Kardashians. The fight showed Kourtney expressing how she felt as though Kim was using her wedding as a "business opportunity," calling her an "egotistical narcissist" and a "witch" that she "f***ing hates". Barker, who tied the knot to Kourtney last year and is the soon-to-be father of their first child together, has since called the hook up claims "ridiculous". "You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘this is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous," he told the Los Angeles Times. "It’s like, ‘Kourtney’s fans are worried about Travis. He’s a womanizer.’ Stop it," he continued. Speaking about his memoir, he said he wanted to share "all that stuff because I wanted to move past it". "It was therapeutic for me," he added. "That’s her sister," he said, referring to Kim. "She knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on." This isn't the first time the rumours have been addressed either, after Kim turned to social media back in 2021 when a fan asked had the pair ever hooked up. "NO! False narrative!" she wrote on her Instagram Story. "We’ve been friends for years, and I’m so happy for him and Kourt." A clip from Matthew Perry's interview with Stephen Colbert just last year has resurfaced following the actor's death, as he opened up on a previous health scare he had in 2019 - causing his heart to stop for five minutes. The Friends star was discussing the contents of his new book, when he spoke of how he had to turn down a role in Don't Look Up, because he'd had to receive CPR. "The guy who saved my life broke eight ribs in the process", he recalled. "They gave me propothal and my heart stopped for five minutes." Perry's autopsy has so far been inconclusive. Friends fans are remembering Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing following the actor's death, and most notably, his heartbreaking final scene in the franchise. 'The One Where They Say Goodbye', which aired in 2004, perfectly rounds off the series, showing the gang leaving their iconic apartment behind, with Monica and Chandler clutching their baby twins. "Should we get some coffee?", Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) suggests before the couple move to their new home. In the ultimate uplifting goodbye, Chandler simply responds: "Sure...where?", alluding to the Central Perk coffee house that became a central setting for the characters. The death of Friends star Matthew Perry has prompted an outpouring of grief from people worldwide, including Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. The two went to school together at the Rockcliffe Park Public School in Ottawa, Canada, and Trudeau shared his sadness at Perry’s passing on X/Twitter. He said: “Matthew Perry’s passing is shocking and saddening. I’ll never forget the schoolyard games we used to play, and I know people around the world are never going to forget the joy he brought them. “Thanks for all the laughs, Matthew. You were loved – and you will be missed.” But among those “schoolyard games” was something altogether more violent, Perry admitted in 2017. Speaking on a talk show about his schooling, the Friends actor said: “My friend ... who was also in the fifth grade in Canada, reminded me that we actually beat up Justin Trudeau. “We both beat him up. I think he was excelling in a sport that we weren’t, so it was pure jealousy.” What’s more, Perry was playing with fire, because Trudeau’s father, Pierre, was prime minister at the time. Perry continued: “I think he was the only kid in school that we could beat up. “You know, I’m not bragging about this. This is terrible. I was a stupid kid, I didn’t want to beat him up.” And it seems like the fight stuck with Trudeau too, who took a rare opportunity one April Fools’ Day to challenge Perry to a rematch. He tweeted in 2017: “I've been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn't wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch?” Judging from the size of Trudeau’s security operation, which costs nearly £18m-a-year, according to CBC, he might have had some difficulty. Matthew Perry, the actor best known for playing Chandler Bing in the beloved sitcom Friends, has died aged 54, according to numerous reports from the United States. Perry was reportedly found dead in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home on October 28th with police being called to his home at around 4pm. Although an investigation is ongoing there is said to be no signs of foul play. NBC, the network which aired all 10 seasons of Friends confirmed Perry's death in a statement. It read: "We are incredibly saddened by the too-soon passing of Matthew Perry. "He brought so much joy to hundreds of millions of people around the world with his pitch-perfect comedic timing and wry wit. His legacy will live on through countless generations." Tributes have since poured in for Perry from across the celebrity and media world as his admirers come to terms with his untimely passing. Elsewhere, fans have been flocking to the actor's final Instagram post which was shared just six days ago. Coincidentally the post features Perry in a hot tub at night with headphones on. The caption for the post reads: "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman." Mattman was a reference to an apparent obsession that Perry had with the superhero Batman. The post has since been flooded with comments from heartbroken fans, with some pointing out the unfortunate connection between the image and Perry's death. One wrote: "This caption is so eerie now, 6 days later. So scary. Rest in Peace man." Another said: "His last post was in the same place he died. So devastating. Rest in peace." Others shared how much Friends and Perry had meant to them. One fan said: "Rest in peace Matthew. The show F.R.I.E.N.D.S was/is a huge part of my life. Thank you for being in it. I learned English watching it. Now watching the show will be a little sad knowing you are gone." Another added: "Your show was my safe show for many years and I will continue to watch it and appreciate every moment of laughter and brightness you brought to that show.
