LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Jeopardy!’ fans were in for a treat when a new contestant named Daniel Moore floored his competition with his impeccable knowledge and great timing with his answers. The ‘Jeopardy!’ debutant never looked nervous and was leaving the two other players in his wake as remained uncatchable until Final Jeopardy, leaving everyone watching in awe.

Daniel managed to answer all his Daily Doubles correctly with fans raving that he "might be around for a while” as he simply looked unbeatable. Daniel faced two-day champion Ittai Sopher, a digital journalist and news producer from New Orleans, Louisiana, and Allison Madson, a health policy professional from Reston, Virginia. The only mistake that Daniel made was missing the first clue presented to him and post that, it was a Daniel show.

Who is Daniel Moore?

Daniel Moore is a 38-year-old Contract Compliance Analyst from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his professional career, Daniel has held many positions in various organizations ranging from Supervisor at Sheets to a Financial Analyst at the Allegheny County Department of Budget & Finance. He’s also worked as a Station Agent at American Eagle Airlines and a Parcel Assistant at FedEx.

Daniel cleared the $5,000 mark very early on the game show leaving host Ken Jennings impressed. The only concern on the board came when he got a clue correct as “Jet lag” and joked, “I have that.” “You’re doing okay,” Ken replied and instantly added, “An impressive lead!” At that point, Daniel had $9,200, while Allison had $3,000, and Ittai $1,200 and were finding it difficult to out-buzz him. Daniel answered both the Daily Doubles correctly and entered Final Jeopardy with $29,000 while Allison and Ittai were far behind at $8,200 and $6,000 respectively. Although Daniel dropped $4000, he still ended the day with $25,000 to become the one-day champion. Ken applauded his efforts and said, “That’s pretty good for a half hour's work.”

‘I think Daniel might be around for a while’

‘Jeopardy! Fans looked in awe as Daniel swept past his peers on the game show. His trailblazing performance was praised by the fans who knew that they had witnessed something special. Few fans flocked to Reddit to share their enthusiasm about Daniel. One wrote, “I don't mean to overreact after watching one game, but I think Daniel might be around for a while,” while a second stated, "Damn, Ittai looked good in his first two games, but he got smoked here.” A third said, "With his wide knowledge base (correct responses on 12/12 categories), impressive $21,000 Coryat, and lightning-quick buzzer timing, Daniel looks like a contender for the [2023] Tournament of Champions. I expect a long run for him next week after he sleeps off that jet lag.”

A fourth fan simply wrote, “Heck of a player” while a fifth stated, "Daniel was super impressive on those Daily Doubles. He pulled those answers out instantly.” However, a sixth one echoed the sentiments pretty well and said, "Daniel is a stone-cold shark. Even during the practice rehearsals, he was scary good. I’m sort of low-key glad I lost so I didn’t have to get steamrolled by him (well, not really).”
