TikTok model left horrified after AI deepfake shows her getting dressed
A model was left horrified after discovering that someone had created a deepfake video of her getting undressed and posted it online. Model and TikToker Nadia Zalecka was mortified to find that she was one of a rising number of influencers being targeted for illicit content using artificial intelligence. Zalacka has more than 80,000 followers on TikTok, and was alerted to the compromising video by one of them. Speaking to the Daily Star, she explained that the person responsible had taken one of her videos before changing her face and name, before making her undress. @nadiazalecka “It’s so so scary. One of my TikTok followers came across it and tagged me. People need to realize how bad it actually is.” As well as saying that saying her likeness had been used before on dating sites, as well as having her likeness used on the “AI Undress” website. She added: “It was so scary seeing my video being manipulated so easily, it’s flooded with comments praising and supporting this fake person and little do they know it’s completely fake and my body is being used.” It’s another disturbing instance of deep fake technology being used for sinister subject matter. The surge in deepfakes has prompted many high profilers to come forward and speak out including MrBeast and Tom Hanks. A rare intersex lobster called 'Bowie' has become a TikTok sensation
A rare intersex lobster called 'Bowie' has become a TikTok sensation
A super rare intersex lobster named Bowie has become an unexpected viral sensation on TikTok and people can’t get enough. Bowie was discovered by Maine lobster fisherman Jacob Knowles, who shared the discovery of Bowie with his 2.6 million followers, racking up 6.3 million views on the video. The lobster is half-blue and half-brown, with two-tone lobsters a 1-in-50 million find, according to the University of Maine’s Lobster Institute. In addition, it is also half-male and half-female. Knowles shared the discovery in a viral TikTok filmed on his fishing boat. In the clip, he explained: “This is the coolest lobster I’ve ever seen. Not only is it split 50/50 right down its back – blue and normal – but if you look underneath, it’s actually half male half female. “The blue side is a male, the normal side is a female, split 50/50 perfectly.” Knowles explained that the lobster was caught by a friend who gave it to him to show TikTok the incredibly rare find. @jacob__knowles Craziest lobster ever! What do you want to do with it? Let me know in the comments! #maine #lobster #fishing #ocean #interesting #commercialfishing #fy #LobsterTok #educate #didyouknow #coolcatch #rare #rarefind After asking viewers what to do with the lobster, it was determined that Knowles would keep it as a pet as opposed to releasing it back into the wild where another fisherman might sell it, as it is technically “legal” to fish it. A request for name suggestions was made, and one user won unanimously, suggesting: “Name it Bowie after David Bowie. He had a blue eye and (was) androgynous.” @jacob__knowles Replying to @GrackleTree We need help naming it! Most liked name wins! As long as it’s tik tok appropriate!! 😂 #maine #lobster #fishing #ocean #interesting #commercialfishing #fy #LobsterTok #educate #didyouknow #coolcatch #rare #rarefind #seafood #crazy #oneinamillion Knowles explained that he was going to construct a large cage that he would place in the ocean so the lobster could remain in its habitat while still being protected. The goal is to see if Bowie can produce eggs on the female side of its body without the help of another lobster since it has both reproductive organs. Judging by the TikTok comments Bowie appears to have earned a lot of fans. “We need a 24-hour live feed of the lobster,” one person said. Another commented: “I'm so damn invested in the saga of Bowie the Lobster.” Someone else suggested: “You should get an underwater camera you can have in the cage with Bowie!!” How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Sign up to our free indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Bartender calls out customer asking for no ice thinking they'll get more alcohol
Bartender calls out customer asking for no ice thinking they'll get more alcohol
A bartender who seemingly rumbled one of her customers for trying to get more booze by asking for no ice in their drink – and called them out – has sparked fierce debate online. Jemima June bartends in Nashville, Tennessee, and posted a TikTok about the customer. So far, it’s got more than 1 million views. In the clip, the person is heard repeatedly asking for a tequila cranberry, with “no ice”. June responded: “Just cause you say no ice doesn't mean you're gonna get more alcohol.” “Double, that means you're gonna get more alcohol.” Some commenters said she was unnecessarily frosty, and even accused her of giving “side eye”. @jemimajune_ One person said: “OK but sometimes we just want more drink, not more alcohol, so we don't finish our mainly cup of ice in 5 seconds.” Another person said: “Lol when you literally just don't want your drink getting watery.” A third person added: “Lemme get no ice without the attitude.” But others were more supportive, pointing out that bartenders often get similar requests from people demanding more booze. One person said: “I'm a bartender in NY, where is the attitude in here exactly? She was nice.” Another person said: “He keeps repeating no ice to her and then when she hands him the cup showing him there is no ice he says are you sure. He was definitely trying to get more.” And one other added: “Us bartenders know exactly what no ice means. You knew instantly your face you're like okay no ice got it.” How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Sign up to our free indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. TikTokers are using the 'glitter' to catch their cheating partners
TikTokers are using the 'glitter' to catch their cheating partners
Suspicious people online are turning to a very unique tactic to try and catch cheating partners, and it involves glitter. In a viral TikTok clip posted by Chrissy (@chrissy.j.xx), she explains how placing glitter inside the passenger seat mirror can expose a partner's affair. Their idea is, if the glitter is no longer there, the man is potentially chauffering around another woman in their car – which of course, is not entirely true and quite far-fetched. Fellow TikTokers took to the comments, with one writing: "How the f*** does that prove anything, like no one else can't use that mirror just girls only? Big brain". Another added: "Or…. You could just leave?!" @chrissy.j.xx we all know a girl will look in that mirror at some point 😏 glitter doesnt lie✨️ NOT BASED ON A TRUE STORY #relatable #relationships #hack #glittergirl Speaking of cheating, one study has lifted the lid on the most unfaithful towns in the UK with Guildford, Surrey coming out on top. The research suggested the surge in affairs is a result of the cost of living crisis, making it financially difficult for unhappy couples to divorce. Coming in at a close second was Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, with just under five per cent admitting to adultery. Cambuslang in South Lanarkshire came in third place with 1,064 cheats. The month of September is also said to have the highest amount of affairs, according to the discreet dating website, Illicit Encounters. "Affairs always traditionally peaked in January but, while New Year cheating is still really high, autumn is now the peak time for adultery," Jessica Leoni, sex and relationship expert said. "Lots of us get sick of a partner after two weeks away in the sun, and we return to work determined to have some fun with someone new. "The pandemic has made more of us live for the moment and shake up our lives if things are not working." Influencer who got boyfriend's name tattooed on her head comes clean after going viral
Influencer who got boyfriend's name tattooed on her head comes clean after going viral
It’s amazing what grown adults will do for a bit of attention on social media – not least, an influencer who claimed to have got her boyfriend’s name tattooed across her forehead. Now, it has emerged it was all fake. Ana Stanskovsky posted a video last week in which a tattoo artist appeared to have inked her face with the name Kevin. Even then, commenters did not believe it was real, but Stanskovsky said: “Yes, it’s real. I can’t even believe it myself that I did it.” “I know it’s a little bit crazy. But I like to express my feelings, and I think if you really love someone you should be able to show it off.” She said that everyone on social media telling her it isn’t real was leaving her “sick and tired”. “I don’t know why people think getting such a big tattoo on your forehead is a big deal...You can still find a job and stuff.” “If we break up, I will just have to find myself a different Kevin.” But a week later, to the shock of very few people, she revealed the tattoo isn’t real.. Stanskovsky, who has a number of tattoos all across her body, posted a video on social media where she wiped off the word from her forehead. @anastanskovsky My new face tattoo ❤️ She said: “All I want to say is that I regret my tattoo...but not this one.” “Because this is not actually a real tattoo. “And the reason why I tricked the whole internet is that I have a message to young people and all of the people who want to get covered in tattoos. “I want everyone to know that I regret my tattoos and you might regret yours when you get older. “And as a person fully covered in tattoos, I feel like this is my responsibility to speak up, share my experience, and when people see me on social media the first thing they notice about me is my tattoos. “So if I influence people, I want to influence people in the right way.” However, for one commenter, it appears it was too late. The person commented beneath her video: "Too late, now i have a forehead tattoo." Let's hope they're also joking, eh? How to get the viral T27 Christmas tree that TikTok is obsessed with
How to get the viral T27 Christmas tree that TikTok is obsessed with
With the festive season fast approaching, TikTokers have seemingly gone into Christmas mode as people are already obsessed with a particular Christmas tree that everyone wants to get their hands on. TikTok is known for making some of the most bizarre things go viral, including everything from Pink Sauce to putting a toilet roll in your fridge. However, even though it’s only November, things have taken a more festive turn as the T27 Christmas Tree has become all the rage, making it tricky for people to get hold of. What is the TikTok famous T27 Christmas Tree? The T27 Christmas tree has gone viral on TikTok, but what many might not realise is that the tree is artificial. Unlike a real tree, it won’t drop needles all over the floor and helpfully comes pre-lit, with all the LED lights already attached, making it possibly the easiest tree to put up for the Christmas period. On TikTok, users have been sharing videos of their T27 Christmas trees, showing how they look straight after being put up. @mermaid1723 #T27 #christmastree #homedepot In the comments of one clip, TikToker @mermaid1723 revealed she bought her tree at the American store Home Depot, but explained that when she checked after her purchase, it was already sold out. Others shared unboxing videos that saw them setting up their viral trees that were instantly illuminated by a remote control. @luxxyy This was worth every penny! #grandduchesstree #homedepot #t27 #t28 #christmastree #grandduchessbalsamfir #christmas2023 #christmas #diychristmas #christmasdecor One TikToker commented: “That is so pretty.” Another wrote: “I’ve never seen a tree so pretty it didn’t need ornaments on it. Wow.” How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Sign up to our free indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy.
