Ice Spice sparks backlash for having 'twerking 16-year-old' in her latest video
Ice Spice sparks backlash for having 'twerking 16-year-old' in her latest video
Ice Spice has sparked a backlash over her new music video for the single 'Deli' as it features a 16-year-old TikTok twerking. The song is from the 23-year-old's deluxe version of her debut album Like...? and the music video has a fitting location - inside a bodega where the rapper can be seen with bundles of dollar bills. In the video, Ice Spice can also be seen twerking alongside her group, but one underage member, in particular, has caused upset. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter TikTok star Aya Tanjali who is 16 years old with over 6.6m followers, starred in the video as she twerked on top of a counter, much to the shock of viewers who took to social media to slam Tanjali's inclusion. One person said: "There’s no way no one told her having a minor twerking in your music video is a terrible idea." "Having a 16-year-old twerking in your video is just nasty," another person wrote. Someone else added: "Putting a sixteen-year-old girl twerking on her hands and knees in a music video was definitely a choice." "Oh that community note…," a fourth person commented. On Twitter, Ice Spice shared a clip of the music video which included Tanjai but the social media platform has added one of its “Community Notes," where it mentioned the young TikToker. "Viewers should be warned this video features a minor dancing in a sexually provocative manner, which may violate state and federal laws," it read. "One of the dancers in this video is 16 years old, a fact likely known to Ice Spice, as the two follow one another on Instagram." Indy100 has reached out to Ice Spice's representatives for comment. What happened to iShowSpeed as YouTuber fears he 'might die' from 'deadly cluster headache'
The popular streamer and internet personality has shared a concerning video of himself being rushed to hospital with what he calls a "deadly headache." The 18-year-old, who has more than 18 million subscribers on YouTube alone shared a video in the early hours of Sunday from an ambulance where he appeared to be being rushed to hospital. The influencer, real name Darren Watkins Jr, was noticeably distressed with one eye closed and the other severely swollen. He told fans: "Right now, I have one of the worst experiences I am having right now. I can't even open up my eyes. I have this thing called a cluster headache. A deadly headache disease. I can't sleep, I can't eat, I can't do anything right now. "It hurts so bad, chat. It hurts so bad. I can't do anything. It hurts. Everything I do, like, something pounding my head every time and I'm so angry. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The Ohio native went on to add: "My eye's puffing up. It feels like a stab. It feels like somebody is stabbing my eye with a knife. Boom, boom, boom, boom. And, I have a headache right in this area (the streamer puts his hand on top of his right eye and the temple). It's literally exactly like this. He ended the one-minute video on an ominous note: "I wanted to give y'all boys (an) update because I don't know what's going to happen to me. You know what I'm saying? I want y'all boys to always be right there with me, until I die. It's... I don't know, man. But, when I get back home, I'm going to probably chill from traveling for a bit because... a lot is going on. Bye." ? www.youtube.com The video has already been viewed more than one million times with many expressing their concern and sending their best wishes to Speed. Speed had earlier uploaded another short video titled 'I might die' where the YouTuber complained about having a 'cluster headache' where he complained about being unable to sleep or eat. According to the NHS, cluster headaches are rare but are 'excruciating attacks of pain in one side of the head, often felt around the eye.' They are most common in men in their 30s and 40s and are not considered to be life threatening and can be treated with over-the-counter medicine and paracetemol. Speed's father has since shared and update stating that his son is feeling better and encouraged others to send their support to make sure he feels himself again. Have your say in our news democracy. Charlotte Dawson gives birth to second child with Matt Sarsfield after miscarriage
Charlotte Dawson gives birth to second child with Matt Sarsfield after miscarriage
Charlotte Dawson has welcomed her second child with fiancée Matt Sarsfield, several days after a “false alarm” that saw her rushing to the hospital. The reality star, 30, shared a photo of her cradling her newborn son while laying in a hospital bed on her Instagram Stories early on Sunday morning (30 July). She wrote in the caption: “Guys he’s here!!! I can’t believe it!!! I came in at 1am I had him by 2.13am.” Dawson, whose father was the late comedian Les Dawson, told her 1.3 million followers: “Can’t wait to update you all as soon as but Matthew has nipped to get me a Maccies [McDonald’s] and I’m having cuddles.” Dawson and Sarsfield, who have been engaged since 2020, are also parents to two-year-old son Noah. In another post, showing Sarsfield holding the baby, Dawson wrote: “He’s turned up with no Maccies ffs [sic]. But look at my beautiful baby daddy with our boyo [sic]. All happened so fast but thank you for being amazing Matt.” Several days earlier, Dawson revealed that she was rushed to hospital after her water had broken. However, it was a “false alarm” and she was sent home to wait until she went into labour. The Ex On The Beach and Celebs On The Farm star wrote in a post at the time: “Oh guys it’s been a bloody weird 24 hours… My waters broke last night but no pain, managed to sleep through it. Just getting checked now as movement’s been slow, happier I can hear his little heartbeat now.” Last year, Dawson revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks that left her “heartbroken beyond words”. Her second baby has been dubbed her “rainbow baby”, a term that refers to a child born after the previous loss of a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or death during infancy. She opened up about how she and Sarsfield were “over the moon” when they first discovered she was pregnant, but later it turned out it was “just not meant to be”. “Miscarriages are so common and not spoken about enough. We are so heartbroken right now, have no words and just don’t feel up to posting being my happy silly self right now,” she said. After learning that she was pregnant again, Dawson said she felt “very blessed and very happy”. “We were absolutely heartbroken about the miscarriage last year,” she added. “It came as a shock when I found out last April. It was like we’d just come to the realisation that we were having a baby and I lost it at 10 weeks.” Read More Blood, guts and cheap cuts: We need an alternative to eating animals – and ‘ethical meat’ isn’t the answer Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara gives birth to first child with fellow dancer Aljaz Skorjanec Jamie Lee Curtis says it is her ‘job’ to ‘fight’ against transphobia on behalf of daughter How to sleep during hot weather, according to experts How to keep your pet safe and healthy during a heatwave This is why you keep waking up at 4am – and what you can do about it
