Elon Musk has shared his thoughts on whether aliens really exist out there in the universe. The 52-year-old billionaire is CEO of SpaceX, which manufactures and launches rockets into space with the "goal of enabling people to live on other planets," and now he's given his take on whether there is life beyond Earth. Musk appeared via video link at the International Astronautical Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan on Thursday (October 5) where his ambition to launch his Starship spacecraft to Mars was discussed, along with what future endeavours into space will look like. While aliens were also mentioned, Musk said he has seen "no evidence" they exist. "People often ask me if I’ve seen any evidence of aliens and I unfortunately have seen no evidence of aliens yet," Musk said. "We are the aliens, as far as I can tell." He added: "And I think if anyone would know, it would probably be me, and I’ve not seen any evidence of aliens. "So, what that perhaps suggests is that this tiny candle of consciousness that is humanity is all that exists in a vast darkness, and we should do everything we can to ensure that the candle does not go out." It's not the first time Musk has discussed this topic as he shared a similar opinion during an interview in April with with then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson. However, he added that if knew aliens were real he would tweet this information out to the world. "I'm, you know, very familiar with space stuff," he said. "I’ve seen no evidence of aliens. I would immediately tweet it out. "That’d be probably the top tweet of all time. 'We found one, guys!' It's the jackpot with some 8billion likes." Definitely worth keeping an eye on Musk's tweets then, you know, just in case... Meanwhile, the business magnate has claimed he is in fact an alien himself. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been making headlines after the musician attended two of the Kansas City Chiefs games - but the American footballer has since spoken out about all the attention the dating rumours have brought. In the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis discussed the matter with his brother and Philadelphia Eagle player Jason Kelce. Jason asked Travis for his thoughts on how the NFL treats celebrities who attended games, and asked his brother to "take away your feelings for Taylor". To which Travis laughed before sharing his thoughts. "I think it's fun when they show who is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you're watching," he said. “They're overdoing it,” Jason interjected, and then Travis replied: “They're overdoing it a little bit for sure. Especially my situation. "[But] I think they’re just trying to have fun with it.” Since the podcast episode came out, the NFL has responded on Wednesday (October 4) with a statement on the topic via PEOPLE. Tom Hanks has warned fans to "beware" of a new advert in which he apparently stars. The Hollywood actor revealed that while the "man" in the ad may look like him, it's all just a trick of artificial intelligence. Hanks has previously been vocal with his concerns about AI and how it might make use of famous figures. Now, it seems his concerns were valid. In a post to Instagram, Hank shared a screenshot of the ad, with overlaid text reading: “BEWARE!! There’s a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it.” It comes amid the ongoing strikes in Hollywood in which both actors and writers have expressed concerns about AI and its potential impact on their jobs. Speaking on British comedian Adam Buxton’s podcast, recorded on 18 April, days before the Hollywood writers’ strike began, Hanks discussed the use of AI in the industry. “We saw this coming. We saw that there was going to be this ability to take zeros and ones inside a computer and turn it into a face and a character," he explained. "Now that has only grown a billionfold since then, and we see it everywhere. “I can tell you that there [are] discussions going on in all of the guilds, all of the agencies, and all of the legal firms to come up with the legal ramifications of my face and my voice – and everybody else’s – being our intellectual property. “Right now if I wanted to, I could get together and pitch a series of seven movies that would star me in them in which I would be 32 years old from now until kingdom come. Anybody can now recreate themselves at any age they are by way of AI or deepfake technology.” He added that he was concerned his likeness could be used in the future after he’s gone. Hanks said: “I could be hit by a bus tomorrow, and that’s it, but performances can go on and on and on and on. And outside of the understanding that it’s been done with AI or deepfake, there’ll be nothing to tell you that it’s not me and me alone. “And it’s going to have some degree of lifelike quality. That’s certainly an artistic challenge, but it’s also a legal one.” The US writers’ strike ended last week after five months, following an agreement being reached between The Writers Guild of America and the major Hollywood studios.
