Defending champions Manchester United are among the sides to enter the Carabao Cup as it reaches the third round. Wales will be without Daniel James for their crucial Euro 2024 qualifier against Latvia next month. Leeds winger James has been sidelined with an adductor injury and misses the crunch clash in Riga on September 11, as well as the Cardiff friendly against South Korea four days earlier. The 45-times capped James has been a regular since making his debut in 2018, starting 34 consecutive competitive games before the run came to an end last November. Wales boss Rob Page has named a 25-man squad for the September double-header as he seeks to revive the Dragons’ Euro 2024 qualification hopes. Back-to-back defeats against Armenia and Turkey in June have left Wales with an uphill task to secure an automatic route to the tournament in Germany next summer. Nottingham Forest forward and Tottenham target Brennan Johnson is included, and Tom Lockyer returns to the squad for the first time since his heart scare in May. The 28-year-old Luton captain collapsed just a few minutes into the Hatters’ Sky Bet Championship play-off final win over Coventry at Wembley. Lockyer underwent an operation to address an irregular heartbeat but has since returned to action to lead Luton in their first Premier League campaign. Tottenham defender Ben Davies is available after missing the 2-0 Euro qualifying defeat to Turkey in June due to the birth of his first child. Page has named four goalkeepers in his squad – Danny Ward, Wayne Hennessey, Adam Davies and Tom King – but none of them have had any game-time this season. Kieffer Moore and Joe Morrell are both suspended for the Latvia qualifier after picking up red cards in June. The pair received two-game bans, with Bournemouth striker Moore serving the first part of his suspension in Turkey after being sent off against Armenia. Portsmouth midfielder Morrell saw red against Turkey in Samsun and will also miss the October qualifier with Croatia. Both players have been included in Page’s squad and can feature against Jurgen Klinsmann’s South Korea in Cardiff on September 7. Ever look down at your phone and see the weather forecasting “30 percent chance of rain”? Well, it turns out that for many people, those percentages don’t quite mean what they thought they did. You might assume a 30 percent chance of rain means there is a 30 percent chance that it will rain in your area. But what it actually means is a combination of a) how high the chance of rain is over any given area, and b) how much of the area it is expected to cover. “The probability of precipitation forecast is one of the least understood elements of the weather forecast,” the US National Weather Service explains. “To summarize, the probability of precipitation is simply a statistical probability of 0.01 inch [0.025 centimeters] or more of precipitation at a given area in the given forecast area in the time period specified.” It comes after an account on X/Twitter, posted a viral picture of somebody saying: “Am I the only one who thought 30% chance of rain meant it’s a 30% chance it’s gonna rain?” What actually happens is as follows. To calculate the precipitation probability, forecasters multiply how much of an area they believe will receive this much rain, by how confident they are in their prediction that rain will fall in that area. The NWS gives the following examples, which both lead to a prediction of a 40 percent chance of rain via very different weather scenarios: “(1) If the forecaster was 80% certain that rain would develop but only expected to cover 50% of the forecast area, then the forecast would read ‘a 40% chance of rain’ for any given location. “(2) If the forecaster expected a widespread area of precipitation with 100% coverage to approach, but he/she was only 40% certain that it would reach the forecast area, this would, as well, result in a ‘40% chance of rain’ at any given location in the forecast area.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. TikTok star 'Baby Alien' has gone viral on social media following his emotional reaction to a video featuring him and model Ari Alectra. Baby Alien, who has more than 625,000 followers on Instagram alone, appeared on the The Fan Bus channel earlier this month where he confessed that he was still a virgin. The idea of The Fan Bus is to connect fans with their favourite OnlyFans models and let nature take its course. As the name would suggest all their content is filmed in a van. However, the account has gained a significant amount of interest since Baby Alien appeared on there with his story now being viewed more than 1.5 million times. There was so much interest that it saw an unprecedented influx of women offering to sleep with him and take his virginity. Yet on August 26th, Fan Bus selected OnlyFans model Ari Alectra to be the one to tell Baby Alien that he was going to lose his virginity that day. In the clip, Baby Alien is told that they believed Alectra was serious about sleeping with him to which he had an excited response.
