The NFL Preseason schedule is set to begin soon. Here's a look at all of the games that will be nationally televised throughout August.
While the 2023 NFL season is a highly anticipated affair, we still have a bit of business to get through in the form of the preseason. The NFL wisely cut the preseason from four weeks to three a few years ago in order to cut down on injuries in meaningless games, a fact teams were ahead of them on by sitting some of their best players for all but a handful of snaps in the best case scenario.
There is still appeal for preseason football, however, since this is the first taste of NFL football fans have gotten since the Super Bowl six months ago. Preseason football games, particularly nationally televised games, can often draw solid ratings for networks that outdo regular season action in most other sports.
2023 NFL Preseason National TV Schedule
NFL Network is simulcasting a lot of local broadcasts throughout the preseason, which helps fans who want as much football as they can get their hands on, but the league's traditional broadcast partners largely sit out the preseason.
