ASPEN, COLORADO: Paris Hilton is enjoying her new role as a mom. The 42-year-old socialite and DJ revealed that her life has changed drastically since she welcomed her first child, a son named Phoenix, via surrogate in January.
Hilton said that she and her husband Carter Reum, 42 a venture capitalist, are over the moon with their baby boy and that she has been reportedly turning down opportunities to spend more time with her son.

“Yeah, my priorities have just completely shifted," Hilton told People. She continued, "I always put him first,” she said. “This has been the best time of my life. He’s just everything to me, so I’ve been saying no to so many offers and things that are coming in because I want to spend as much time as possible with him.” Hilton also shared her excitement about her collaboration with Hilton Hotels for this summer, which is inspired by her famous word 'Sliving,' a combination of 'slay' and 'live.'
The collaboration showcases the different ways to “sliv” your best summer while staying at a Hilton hotel. “I’m so excited to collaborate with Hampton and the waffle lady, Regina Triche. I love cooking, and we just had so much fun making this strawberry cheesecake waffle together,” she told PEOPLE. “It was really cute, and people can get them when they go and stay at the Hampton by Hilton.”
Hilton loves traveling with her son Phoenix
Hilton also opened up about traveling with her son, who is now six months old. She said that he is a good traveler and that she can’t wait to take him to Hawaii with his cousins. “My sister and I have been staying at [a hotel] for so many years, and just going on all the water slides and just being kids, so it’ll be really a fun experience to now experience that with our own children,” she said. “So I just can’t wait for that trip, with all of the cousins together. That’s just going to be so special.” Hilton also celebrated her son’s 6-month birthday last month with a sweet Instagram post, where she called him her “angel baby” and said that he makes her life feel complete. “This Barbie is a Mom,” she wrote in the caption. “My baby boy Phoenix is 6 months old today. He is my world and makes my life feel so complete. Can’t wait for all the magical memories we will create together! Mommy loves you so much angel baby.”
'I’m so blessed'
Hilton and Reum began dating in 2019 after knowing each other for 15 years. They tied the knot in November 2021. Hilton has been vocal about her desire to start a family and her decision to use a surrogate. She told People soon after marriage, "I can't wait to grow our family," Paris was inspired by her friend Kim Kardashian West, who also used a surrogate for two of her four children. “I’m so happy that she told me that advice and introduced me to her doctor,” Hilton previously said. “She just put my mind at ease because it was something I was nervous about,” Hilton said that she hopes to have more children in the future and that she loves being a mother. “It’s just the most incredible feeling in the world,” she said before adding “I’m so blessed.”
