Princess Eugenie is often told she is "much better looking" in real life.
The 33-year-old royal - who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York - revealed that fans are often surprised at her pleasant appearance when they spot her out and about as opposed to in the media and is unsure whether to take their reaction as a compliment or not.
Speaking on the 'White Wine Question Time' podcast, she told former 'Loose Women' anchor Kate Thornton: "I have people come up to me sometimes and say: ‘Oh you’re much better looking in real life,’ and you’re like: ‘Agh. Is that a compliment? I dunno,"
The 'Floodlight' host went on to add that even though she and her older sister Princess Beatrice, 35, have often become known for their unorthodox fashion choices in the tabloids over the years, she is "incredibly proud" of the way she has looked over the years.
She said: "Beatrice and I, like many of our cousins, have had a really awkward phases. I’m proud of my incredibly strange looks from the past."
Eugenie decided to start up her own Instagram page in 2018 and explained that she launched her profile on the social media platform in an effort to eradicate the "misinformation" that existed about her life.
She said: "I want people to know me because I think there has been so much misinformation and it’s so easy to judge something when you read it in the paper. But it's so stressful, I get so nervous! Before I post I have to text about five people asking if it’s okay, have I got a spelling mistake, am I gonna get in trouble
