Woman left mortified after discovering her 'close friend' breastfed her son without asking her

A woman was mortified when she discovered that her friend had nursed her infant without her consent. Afiqah Hasanah of Malaysia had her hands full at a family function, so she went to a friend for assistance, confident that her son Haider would be taken care of.

Hasanah was, however, displeased with how her friend cared for him. In a TikTok video, she stated, "I was busy carrying things, and when I arrived, she asked me for Haider, so I just gave him [to her] because she was someone close to me," adding, "Suddenly while I was carrying those things, I saw that she was, like, doing something at the back in an open hall. Turns out, she was breastfeeding Haider."

'I didn't expect her to do such a thing'

Hasanah then confronted her friend. She stated, "Her excuse was that my baby was crying." She continued, "Which mother can accept her baby being directly breastfed by someone else while the mother herself has breastmilk?" She looked like she was going to cry in the video. She then said, "I didn't expect her to do such a thing."

Speaking about how she felt, Hasanah said, "I was so stressed I felt like crying.. this has destroyed my trust in people. How long will I be haunted by this?"

However, even after confronting her "close friend," Hasanah's mother caught the woman doing the same thing a second time. "Now, I'm having a tough time shaking it off my mind," Hasanah concluded.

'Got to be careful with people like that'

The video has received over 2.9 million views and 261,000 likes, with many people sympathizing with Hasanah. "How can someone do something like that without thinking? It's extremely upsetting to hear this," one commented.

"New fear unlocked," another remarked. Another added, "Got to be careful with people like that. Get ready to keep the child away whenever she's around. A similar occurrence happened to another mother, but her baby was nursed by her own sister."
