Although far better known for his managerial career in charge of Premier League sides Burnley and Everton, Sean Dyche had a more than respectable lower league playing career that spanned 18 years and took in more than 500 EFL appearances.

Dyche played in the Championship, or its previous equivalent, for Watford, Millwall and Bristol City at one time or another. His longest spell for any one team was eight seasons with Chesterfield at the start of his career, with the centre-back famously scoring in an FA Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough to put his third tier team 2-0 up against Premier League opposition.

His rough and ready style wasn't that dissimilar to Martin Keown, but Dyche never played for Arsenal.

Tell that to current Gunners star William Saliba, who momentarily thought he did.

In an NBC Sports Soccer clip, the centre-back was shown pictures of a handful of slightly obscure ex-Arsenal players to see if he could identify them - no obvious legends here.

Saliba couldn't get Brazilian midfielder Denilson, Spanish goalkeeper Manuel Almunia or Croatian striker Eduardo, as well as briefly thinking Andrey Arshavin was Tomas Rosicky. He did nail three of the Francophone players he was shown: Yaya Sanogo, Alex Song and Gervinho.

But when Saliba was presented with Philippe Senderos, he went straight in with: "Is it the coach of Everton?" - meaning Dyche. It's unclear who that faux pas is more offensive to...
