Will Joe Rogan be part of UFC 5? Fans psyched after EA Sports announces video game: 'Holy s**t'

AUSTIN, TEXAS: After a long wait, EA Sports has officially announced the UFC 5 video game, which is expected to have a complete reveal sometime in September. On August 14, 2020, UFC 4, the last game in the series, was published. Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal were featured on the cover of the fame.

Demands for the imminent release from fight fans inundated the EA Sports website on social media, including requests for color commentary by longtime UFC spokesperson Joe Rogan, whom promotion president Dana White calls "the best ever." Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier provided the play-by-play and color commentary for UFC 4.

'Holy s**t'

As soon as the news was announced by EA Sports, many fans took to social media to express their excitement over it. A fan said, “Holy s**t!!!” Another wrote, “When’s the last time EA made a decent career mode… this game will b another buy at discount and play for a couple months game. If it ain’t card packs they don’t put in effort.” One fan added, “Yes yes yes yes yes yes.”

A fan also said, “Is Yan Xiaonan in this game, yall put Erin, Ribas and Lemos before her. She KO'd Andrade and beat Dern.” Another one said, “If it’s not on PC I’m out.”

When Joe Rogan refused to voice UFC 4 video game

The video game UFC 4 by EA Sports did not feature Joe Rogan's commentary. Instead, fellow cage announcers Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier, who are regulars at the majority of the promotion's ESPN+ fight nights, handled those responsibilities.

This began with UFC 3 when EA was pressured to combine already-existing recordings after Rogan refused to record fresh recordings, Creative Director Brian Hayes claimed.

Once the FOX producers failed in their attempt to make Rogan into a "sports guy," he began reducing the amount of commentary he provided. The lifelong comedian and rival of the Westboro Baptist Church has substantially raised the value of his brand outside the UFC in recent years to the tune of $100 million.
