Will Joe Rogan accept Donald Trump's interview request? Here's why 'JRE' host kept turning down ex-president's offer

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Donald Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination in the 2024 election is reportedly keen to make an appearance on 'The Joe Rogan Experience'. However, Joe Rogan, the show's presenter, is not as thrilled because he does not want to have an interview with the seemingly controversial politician.

Rogan's podcast is the most popular on Spotify thanks to his 11 million fans. The majority of viewers appear to agree with the 55-year-old host's frequently conspiratorial views on topics like skepticism toward Covid-19 immunization and disdain for political correctness, which are also held by many MAGA supporters.

'I’m not a Trump supporter'

According to a report, Rogan has repeatedly declined requests from Trump's team to interview the former president on his well-known Spotify podcast. Even though the Republican front-runner is backed by a sizeable percentage of Rogan's 11 million listeners, the podcaster has stated that he is not a fan of Trump and has no desire to offer the 45th president a platform. Rogan previously said he had no desire to support Trump, despite his own condemnation for propagating Covid theories.

“I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” Rogan told podcaster Lex Fridman last year. He added, “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.” On his own podcast last year, Rogan referred to Trump as a “man-baby” while speculating that the current Republican frontrunner may be using Adderall.

'It would be an incredible audience'

Trump and his advisers, however, remain persistent. Roger Stone, one of Trump's longest-serving informal advisors, has even come up with an odd strategy to put pressure on Rogan, as per The Daily Beast. Stone believes that attacking Rogan is the best way to pressure him into hosting Trump. Stone was with Trump at the UFC fight in Las Vegas, when the former president shook Rogan's hand. “The mere discussion of Donald Trump on a blockbuster podcast like Joe Rogan builds a remarkable audience,” a Trump adviser told The Daily Beast.

“Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last, it would be an incredible audience," the source further added. Earlier Trump appeared on 'The Full Send' interview which generated millions of views, although the YouTube video of it was removed by parent company Alphabet.
