NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Bella Hadid and Marc Kalman have broken up after two years of dating. The supermodel who is currently on medical leave split from her art director boyfriend in the spring.

The duo who were rumored to have started dating in 2020 confirmed being together in July 2021. However, they kept their relationship off the spotlight. After Hadid and Kalman announced they were dating, the now ex-couple was spotted partying in New York City for Gigi Hadid's 27th birthday soiree in April 2022 after they vacationed in Paris for the Fashion Week.

A source revealed to the outlet that Hadid and Kalman were "very in love, but the relationship ultimately ran its course and they decided to end things. Bella is a very nice person but struggles with the pressures of fame. She has been trying to take care of herself since their split," a source told ET. In 2022, an insider told the outlet Kalman was planning to propose to Hadid in the fall of that year as the duo talked about getting engaged and to be married in California.

Is Hadid OK?

Hadid has been receiving her daily treatment for Lyme disease and is currently on medical leave. "Bella Hadid has been on medical leave for the past four months, and is in daily treatment for Lyme disease," an insider told on Wednesday.

"Nine months ago, Bella decided she wanted to stop drinking, so she stopped. She has been sober for nine months and has never had an alcohol or drug problem. Bella is not in rehab," the source told ET.

The 26-year-old supermodel was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. "Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and rarely, Borrelia mayonii. It is transmitted to humans through the bite of infected black-legged ticks," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In March, Hadid took to Instagram to celebrate five months of sobriety from alcohol. "five months no alcohol today," she wrote in her Instagram Story as she shared celebrated the occasion in Las Vegas.

In 2014, Hadid who struggled with drinking was charged with DUI. Her drinking issues led her to give up alcohol in 2021 and 2022. "I have done my fair share of drinking. I loved alcohol and it got to the point where even I started to, you know, cancel nights out that I felt like I wouldn't be able to control myself," she said in January 2022.
