She seemingly loves animals, especially horses, and has had a registered half-Arabian show horse named Dudley since April 2011. Virginia has won numerous ribbons in Cedar Rapids for horse riding.

As an ardent animal lover, Virginia hosts fundraisers for 'Animal Rescue', an Iowa-based organization, especially during her birthdays. She also sometimes performs at the Iowa State Fair.
