'The thing that I loved is … she told everybody that I was an award-winning porn star'

'The View' co-host reminded the audience that her granddaughter Amara appeared on the first season of 'Claim to Fame,' hosted by Frankie and Kevin Jonas, and had a breakdown similar to Tom's niece Carly in the current season. Whoopi then showed footage of Carly, but swiftly added, "I have to say, before I continue on, that apparently my granddaughter had a similar freakout."

The TV host then presented footage of Amara during her time on the show, stating, "That's why you can't hear her because she's cursing."

In the August 2022 episode, Amara felt convinced that her fellow player Lark had no idea "who I am." "[Lark's] a little kitty cat. She doesn't have no bite," Amara commented at the time. "Because she did this dumba** move, the house is about to go nutty." Amara would find out seconds later that she was mistaken about her other participant, who accurately called her out prior to becoming Whoopi's relative. Following the dramatic 10-second announcement, Amara was given the opportunity to say her goodbyes, during which she informed the other contestants, "F**k y'all, but alright. I am Whoopi's granddaughter. I'm going to go out cussing like a motherf**ker, and you better bleep every f**king thing I say in this b**ch," she remarked on ABC's 'The View'.

On the June 28 program, Whoopi stated, "Amara lasted a long time on the show' and said she found it amusing that Amara chose to say she was an "award-winning porn star." "It is true that I am an award winner, but it is not true that I was, or am, or will ever be a porn star - not that there's anything wrong with it, but come on," Whoopi added.

Tom's niece was ousted on the first episode of season two, resulting in a startling outburst in which she sobbed, mocked her fellow candidates, and yelled that she needed more "camera time." The second season premiered on June 26th, and it definitely started off with a bang, courtesy of Carly.

Carly, the famed 'Forrest Gump' star's niece, was the first to depart and had a dramatic cry over her loss, shocking viewers. Towards the end of the debut program, hosts Kevin and Frankie asked a participant called Hugo whether he knew whom Carly was connected to. And when he correctly deduced that it was Tom, she began weeping before bursting into a screaming tantrum and storming off-stage. Carly became sad once Kevin verified Hugo's estimate was true, sobbing loudly as she covered her face and went to collect her belongings. She then began yelling at the top of her lungs, shouting abuse at the show as well as her fellow candidates, who listened with astonished expressions on their faces. "The freaking clues were so freaking obvious," she said. "Even [contestant] Gabriel figured it out, and he's not even smart. I didn't even get to do any challenges. I don't deserve this. I should have more camera time. I should be here longer. No one expected that, no one."

Carly's hint was a park seat, a nod to a well-known scene from Tom's film 'Forrest Gump'. She revealed after her outburst that she was afraid of him watching it because she didn't want to "embarrass him."
