Who are Darius Jackson's parents? Keke Palmer granted temporary sole custody of 8-month-old son with ex-BF after filing for restraining order

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Keke Palmer, 30, sought a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Darius Jackson in November 2023 and said the relationship "finally ended for good" in October 2023. Jackson is the son of Philadelphia native Romel Jackson and Yhinyer Hubbard Jackson, originally from Panama.

The ‘Nope’ actress has been granted temporary sole custody of her 8-month-old son Leodis on Thursday by the Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to Us Weekly.

Jackson was born in Inland Empire, California, somewhere in 1994, making him 29 years old, according to Sportslulu.

He is an athlete and fitness instructor who was featured on KeyTV's ‘Sportsfan’, a scripted series he co-created with his ex-girlfriend Keke Palmer.

How did Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson meet?

Darius Jackson and Keke Palmer began dating in 2021 after meeting at Diddy's mansion during a party.

A year later in December 2022, Palmer announced her pregnancy while hosting 'Saturday Night Live'.

Jackson and Palmer welcomed their son Leodis Andrellton Jackson (Leo) in late February 2023.

However, in July 2023, the couple who had recently become parents, found themselves in disagreement after Palmer attended a concert by Usher at his Las Vegas Residency wearing a fitted, black bodysuit under a curve-hugging sheer outfit.

Jackson chose to publicly criticize Palmer's attire on Twitter and suggested that she should have covered up.

The incident caused a rift between the couple, reflecting a conflict of opinions regarding appropriate dress codes.

“It’s the outfit tho... you a mom,” Jackson reportedly said, also stating in a since-deleted tweet, "We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife and mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

In an interview with People in October 2022, the actress expressed her desire to alter the level of transparency she exhibits on social media. She acknowledged the need to make changes and be more mindful of what she shares with the public.

"I'm having my own personal boundaries for what I feel like I want out there or what I want to give people the opportunity to speak on," she said.

In November 2023, Palmer obtained a restraining order against Jackson following allegations of abuse. This came after suspicions that the couple were no longer together.

What was decided regarding Keke Palmer’s allegations against Darius Jackson?

Keke Palmer filed a domestic violence restraining order against the infant's father in Los Angeles.

According to records acquired by People, Palmer requested the court for full physical and legal custody of Leodis, alleging repeated instances of physical abuse in the filing.

In response to the emergency filing, a Los Angeles County judge issued a temporary restraining order requiring Jackson to stay at least 100 yards away from both the actress and their son, as well as any childcare or schooling arrangements made for the infant.

The temporary restraining order, in addition to awarding Palmer temporary sole physical and legal custody of her son, specifies that Jackson is not permitted to have visitation with his son, with a hearing set for December 5, to consider future action on the temporary arrangement.

Jackson seemed to address the situation late Thursday, sharing a photo of himself holding his son in a tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter). "I love you, son. See you soon," his caption read.

In the declaration attached to Thursday's filing, Palmer claims there were "many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting me in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse."
