What is Joe Rogan's take on child abuse? Podcaster once sparked controversy with his comments about victim: 'Walk it off'

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan once shared his take on child sex abuse during one of the episodes of his divisive podcast, 'The Joe Rogan Experience.' The 54-year-old has also faced backlash for disseminating false information regarding Covid-19, as well as his usage of the N-word in previous episodes.

During February 2022's episode of his podcast, Rogan sparked controversy with his comments about child sex assault victims. During a three-hour discussion with stand-up comedian Akaash Singh, Rogan stated that boys who have sexual connections with older women are "going to be fine" as long as the lady is not "gross."

Joe Rogan's take on child abuse

The two talked about a female acquaintance of Rogan's who supposedly had an affair with a 30-year-old teacher in high school. They also discussed songs that have motivated males to write about lusting for teenage girls.

"No one would write a song about that today," Rogan said, referring to The Police's “Don’t Stand So Close to Me.”

He added, “You’d be like, wait a minute, are you saying you want to f*** kids? Is that your song? Hey! No! I’m not gonna – I’m just saying don’t stand so close to me.”

Rogan went on to say that the "crazy thing" is that "no one gives a f**k if it's a 15-year-old boy and a 30-year-old lady" before Singh interjected, "G's up."

The controversial podcast host then alluded to a Zach Galifianakis joke about a boy who died as a consequence of an affair with his high school teacher.

"Yeah, his friends high-fived him to death," Rogan concluded, adding the punchline, "You don't feel bad at all."

When Singh pointed out that having sex with an adult would "f**k the kid for sure," Rogan said that even at 13, "he's going to be fine if he's got a good dad." "You're going to be fine, kid, keep moving," he urged.

"Walk it off. Listen, you found about something awesome early. But it depends on what the woman looks like."

An affair between a "giant football player-looking lady" and a teenager would be "gross," according to Rogan, but if the woman he was having sex with looked "like Sofia Vergara," he'd be "like, 'you son of a b**ch,' you know."

Singh also remarked on Mary Kay Letourneau, a high school teacher who was imprisoned for raping her sixth-grade student in 1996, noting that Letourneau was "not that bad looking."
