Another season is in the books and the final day of the 2022/23 Premier League certainly didn't disappoint as Everton retained their status in the top flight, condemning Leicester and Leeds to the second tier.

At the other end of the table, a victory for Man Utd saw them clinch third ahead of Newcastle, while Unai Emery guided Aston Villa to a once unimaginable European berth as his side beat Brighton 2-1 at Villa Park.

There were plenty of goals to enjoy across the ten games, as there so often is on the final day, and here are the best of the bunch.

1. Bukayo Saka vs Wolves

It's been a difficult couple of months for Arsenal's starboy after the March international break, but he was back to his very best as the Gunners put five past Wolves at the Emirates.

Before the winger was forced off with a minor-looking injury at the start of the second half, Bukayo Saka netted Arsenal's third with a delightful finish after sharply cutting inside a hapless Hugo Bueno.

2. Lucas Moura vs Leeds

Lucas Moura: f*ck it highlights.

On his final outing for Tottenham, Amsterdam hero Moura rounded off his career for the Lilywhites in typical samba style. A beleaguered Leeds backline was hardly the sternest of opposition, but the Brazilian effortlessly waltzed beyond several challenges before finding his way into the box and coolly finishing beyond Joel Robles.

Harry Kane (30 league goals in this Spurs team, by the way) and Pedro Porro also netted tidy finishes in their 4-1 win.

3. Cody Gakpo vs Southampton

There were several lovely goals in this bonkers match-up on the south coast.

Roberto Firmino's coolness in the box and Kamaldeen Sulemana's pinpoint strike both deserve mentions, as does Diogo Jota's efficient equaliser, but the pick of the bunch was Liverpool's third which brought them back into the contest after the Saints built a 4-2 lead from 2-0 down.

This was a divine team move that featured a perfectly-weighted chipped pass in behind for third-man runner Trent Alexander-Arnold from Harvey Elliott. His first-time cross found Gakpo at the back post, and the Dutchman had no choice but to tap home.

4. Abdoulaye Doucoure vs Bournemouth

Evertonians will be eternally grateful to Abdoulaye Doucoure for delivering this moment which kept them in the Premier League.

A stubborn Bournemouth defence had frustrated an Everton side playing without a recognised striker, and tension laced Goodison Park as news filtered through of Leicester's lead over West Ham.

A set-piece looked like the most likely avenue, and Doucoure's strike truly was outta nowhere. The Cherries, as were Leicester, were hit with a vicious RKO from the right boot of the Frenchman.

Doucoure's strike was as true as they get, with Mark Travers left with no chance between the Bournemouth sticks. Oh, the relief.

5. Taiwo Awoniyi vs Crystal Palace

Awoniyi's productive end to the season continued at Selhurst Park as he scored the opener for Forest before they were pegged back in the second half.

While the Nigerian's finish was cool and composed after being delayed by Joachim Andersen, this sequence was all about Morgan Gibbs-White's sumptuous pass with the outside of his boot which set Awoniyi on his way.

What a signing the £17m man has proven to be!

6. Harvey Barnes vs West Ham

Leicester's victory over West Ham proved to be for nothing as Everton got the win they needed to stay up, but the King Power Stadium was still treated to a wonderful team goal finished off by Harvey Barnes.

The winger fired the ball into Kelechi Iheanacho and scampered onto the precise return ball to fire in past Lukasz Fabianski.

Like many others around him, it may well have been Barnes' last game for Leicester and he at least said goodbye in style.
