Was Peter Cappio 'bullied' on 'The Bachelorette'? 'Men Tell All' leaves Bachelor Nation stunned over 'FP' controversy

BURBANK, CALIFORNIA: 'The Bachelorette: Men Tell All' is always up for delving into the season's spicy drama.

In the case of Charity Lawson's Monday, August 14 special, though, the men addressed a subject you've probably never heard of - since it all happened after the show was filmed.

Peter Cappio, 33, of New York, was seeking a wife to explore the world with...again. Peter has just under 13,000 followers and has already built a name for himself. On the first night of Charity's Bachelorette season, Peter was eliminated.

That isn't normally enough time to become embroiled in a drama, but the 33-year-old pilot appears to have made a strong impact on his other suitors.

Was Peter Cappio bullied on 'The Bachelorette'?

During a post-production Zoom call, Peter discovered that roughly 15 of the guys (more than half of the group) had used the letters 'FP' in the captions of their cast announcement postings, as Peter stated during 'Men Tell All'.

"Brayden [Bowers] was actually man enough to come to me and tell me what it meant," Peter went on. "And what it meant was ‘F*ck Peter.'"

Jesse Palmer supplied screenshot receipts from several of the men who took part, including Aaron Bryant, Sean McLaughlin, and Brayden. Xavier Bonner admitted to the "inside joke," but he called it a "bad play" and apologized to Peter.

The undercover social effort, according to Peter, got him "pretty upset."

He, too, was perplexed by the motivation: "I didn’t know any of these guys," he went on to say. "I met them for two minutes, maybe some five minutes. And to have people put this online for the world to see really affected me."

On Night 1, Caleb Balgaard stated Peter "said f**k you to every single dude that tried to speak to [him]."

Peter was fascinated with camera angles on his first (and only) night at the estate, according to John Buresh, and he was asked who he believed was there for the wrong reasons. "And I’m like, I don’t know, you maybe?" John remembered.

Aaron Schwartzman stated that Peter was discussing endorsement opportunities and t-shirt production following filming, but Peter denied creating any shirts regarding his Bachelorette experience.

"I don’t believe I ever said that," he continued.

While 'Men Tell All' did not specify who put "FP" on their Instagram accounts, those who did appear to have erased the initials from their captions, and their images now have an "edited" designation.

Several other contenders altered their announcement blogs as well; however, it's unclear whether this implies they engaged in "FP" or edited for another reason.

In any case, other contenders did not post "FP" or modify their announcement postings at all, indicating that they were not caught up in the turmoil.

Bachelor Nation shocked over 'f**k Peter' controversy

Hearing the admission from the entire cast, viewers rushed to social media to ask, "They all joined together to bully Peter via Instagram captions!?!?" Another user gasped, "Did Xavier just say “the issue isn’t that we all collectively bullied Peter, this issue is that Brayden told him about it?”

A third user asked, "They all hate him after spending 5 minutes with him, colluded to say Fuck Peter on all their social media posts, but yet they didn't recognize him when he sat down? WTF is going on?" Another person sighed, "Imagine several men posting “f**k peter” on their instagrams and then they say the person in the wrong is the one who told peter what it meant??!!"

Other viewers demanded, "Instead of bloopers, show us whatever peter supposedly did to these men… or show us brayden saying classless." One user quipped, "Peter has more Tik tok and Instagram followers than the majority of men on that stage."

Who is Peter Cappio on 'The Bachelorette'?

This commercial pilot has traveled the world while working in his ideal profession, but he hasn't yet met his true love.

Peter calls himself "the life of the party" and wishes his future spouse could be as upbeat as he is.

Peter prides himself on being a person of faith and genuinely thinks his future bride is out there. He is unbeatable at Mario Kart. Ever. Peter enjoys playing pickleball a lot.

'The Bachelorette' airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
