PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI: In 'Love Island USA' Season 5 Episode 6, two contestants, Destiny Zammarra Davis and Jasmine Sklavanitis, were standing last in the recoupling round. In the end, it all depended on Harrison Luna's choice about who he wanted to pick. The new entry went ahead with Destiny and Jasmine got eliminated from the show.
After this, fans started speculating about the reason behind Harrison's choice. The new entry was being persuaded by his fellow mates to choose Jasmine. But despite having a major connection with Jasmine, he went ahead to choose Destiny. Seeing this, 'Love Island USA' Season 5 fans believe Harrison allegedly chose Destiny because of her race.
Harrison chooses Destiny over Jasmine in recoupling
Harrison left Jasmine in tears as she stood in the recoupling round without being chosen and losing even her last hope. 'Love Island USA' shared pictures of Jasmine after her elimination and captioned the post, "It's time to say goodbye to Jasmine Send her some love in the comments!"
Jasmine's elimination was something fans did not expect. Therefore, seeing her heartbroken, a fan commented, "This is stupid." Another wrote, "She did not deserve to leave the Villa Harrison do not do well. Harrison should’ve picked her. Ok very sad." Another shocked fan wrote, "Wait a minute jasmine was cool af." "Destiny should’ve," commented a fan. "Robbed a** queen," commented another. A fan claimed, "Should of been destiny."
Was Harrison avoiding being called 'anti-Black'?
Seeing Harrison choose a woman of color over Jasmine, a fan tweeted, "I knew Harrison liked Black girls lol." Another slammed the star and wrote, "Ngl I thought Harrison was up there thinking “I don’t want people on twitter calling me anti-Black if I don’t choose Destiny” LMAOOO But I’m so glad my good sis is staying cause they seem to have a lot in common."
A fan claimed, "Harrison like the yt men, Black women write about in books."
