Today's USMNT rumors include Timothy Weah being on his way to Juventus, Antonee Robinson has been linked with Newcastle and Ricardo Pepi is set to join PSV.
USMNT rumors: Timothy Weah to Juventus
Timothy Weah to Juventus may be a transfer that surprises many fans. However, the forward who operated as a full-back for Lille last season, could be a perfect fit in Massimiliano Allegri's system as a wing-back.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that "Juventus and Lille are finalising details of Timothy Weah deal — about the structure of the agreement and payment terms of the fee close to €12m. Weah has already accepted the terms — he wants to move to Juventus."
Despite Weah already representing some top clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Celtic and Lille, he often does not get the adulation he deserves. Now Weah is about to join one of the biggest clubs in World soccer, the player will likely start getting the recognition he deserves.
Juventus are currently not going through the best of spells. Last season a points deduction did not help and they ended up finishing seventh in Serie A. The future of his USMNT teammate Weston McKennie at Juventus is up in the air, so it remains to be seen if we will see the two playing together at the club.
This is a great opportunity for Weah to help Juve get back to their best, which he must grasp with both hands.
USMNT rumors: Antonee Robinson to Newcastle
Antonee Robinson has recently been linked with a move to Marseille but there is now interest from a Premier League rival in the Fulham defender.
The Evening Standard has reported that "Fulham are prepared to sell defender Antonee Robinson for around £35million this summer. Newcastle and Marseille are actively pursuing Robinson, while Manchester City and AC Milan have previously expressed an interest."
A move to Newcastle over Marseille would be favourable to Robinson as it would mean staying in England and going straight into a Champions League club. Marseille still has to qualify through the playoffs to enter European soccer's premier competition.
USMNT rumors: Ricardo Pepi to PSV
Ricardo Pepi's future looks to finally be resolved after PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord were battling it out for the Augsburg forward.
According to Fabrizio Romano, "Understand PSV Eindhoven has now completed the agreement on personal terms with Ricardo Pepi. He only wanted to join PSV as called last week — the deal is now in the final stages as Augsburg and PSV prepare final details… then, here we go."
Pepi spent last season on loan at FC Groningen in the Eredivisie, he shone in a struggling side that was ultimately relegated. Now he will be playing for one of the division's top sides where he will be able to challenge for trophies and compete in European soccer.
