Today's USMNT rumors include Folarin Balogun being linked with Inter Milan. Tyler Adams could be on his way to Chelsea and Matt Turner is set to sign for Nottingham Forest.
USMNT rumors: Folarin Balogun to Inter Milan
Folarin Balogun posted on his Instagram account that he was watching highlights of the Brazilian Ronaldo in action for Inter Milan. The USMNT forward could emulate his idol in representing the Nerazzurri.
It was thought that Balogun was too expensive for Inter. However, the Italian side has just seen Atalanta hijack their deal to sign Gianluca Scamacca. This could pave the way for Inter to ensure the signing of Balogun.
According to Fabrizio Romano, "Inter are prepared to approach Arsenal again for Folarin Balogun. Decision has been made, new round of talks will now follow. After Scamacca deal collapsed, Inter will bid again for Balogun who's [the favorite] option of the board."
USMNT rumors: Tyler Adams to Chelsea
Leeds United begin their Championship campaign today and unless Tyler Adams can make a move then he will be playing in English soccer's second tier this season. There had been reports that Chelsea were interested in the midfielder but it now that the transfer could really be on the cards.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that "Chelsea made contact with Tyler Adams [sic] camp to be informed on conditions of the deal, exploring costs. He's one of the names being considered as £20m relegation clause is available."
USMNT rumors: Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest
Matt Turner is set to join Nottingham Forest, despite the club also looking to sign Dean Henderson. This may result in Turner swapping Arsenal's bench for Forest's one.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that "Nottingham Forest are closing in on Matt Turner deal with Arsenal, here we go soon. Verbal agreement in place, personal terms also agreed — clubs finalising the details and then it will be sealed."
It may seem strange that the American goalkeeper is leaving to not necessarily gain first-team soccer. However, with the Gunners reportedly signing David Raya from Brentford it looks like Turner would be pushed further down the pecking order. Therefore a move to Forest would make sense for the player.
