Today's USMNT news includes Folarin Balogun being linked with Marseille. Yunus Musah is a target for both AC Milan and Inter Milan, and the Stars and Stripes defeat Saint Kitts and Nevis 6-0 in the Gold Cup.
USMNT news: Folarin Balogun to Marseille
Folarin Balogun has recently been linked with Lille but there could be a better option in France for the Arsenal forward. According to L'Equipe, Marseille wants Balogun to play alongside another former Gunner in Alexis Sanchez.
Marseille finished third in Ligue 1 last season which qualified them for the Champions League. So a move to the club would make sense over Lille who will be in the Europa Conference League.
Balogun scored 21 league goals for Stade de Reims last season. Continuing in the same division but playing for one of the better sides in Marseille could be very good for the USMNT striker's development.
USMNT news: Yunus Musah to Milan
Yunus Musah who played youth soccer for the Italian side Giorgione could be set to return to the county to play in Serie A. Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that both AC Milan and Inter Milan are looking to sign Musah from Valencia.
It would be a tough call to choose between the Milan clubs, as both can offer Champions League soccer. Both sides also got to the latter stages of the competition last season, Inter defeated Milan in the semi-finals. However, they went on to lose to Manchester City in the final.
Milan is also interested in signing fellow American Christian Pulisic. So we could see Musah and Pulisic linking up at the San Siro next season.
USMNT news: Gold Cup rout
The USMNT claimed their first win in this year's Gold Cup, with an emphatic 6-0 thrashing of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Djordje Mihailovic gave the Stars and Stripes an early lead with a finish into the top corner. Bryan Reynolds then fired in from outside the box to double their advantage.
Jesus Ferreira scored twice to give the USA a 4-0 lead at halftime. The FC Dallas forward completed his hat trick shortly after the break. The rout was completed late on as Mihailovic scored his second into an empty net.
The USMNT are now top Group A alongside Jamaica who also have four points. Although, the USA have a better goal difference. B.J. Callaghan's side plays Trinidad and Tobago next in their final group stage match this Sunday.
