It seems like just yesterday we were gearing up for The Masters, and now here we are, already at the third major of 2023, the U.S. Open.
All the best golfers in the world will descend upon Los Angeles Country Club for this week's major. LACC hasn't hosted a pro event since the 1940 Los Angeles Open. It's a legendary West Coast golf course and by all reports, it's going to serve as a fantastic venue for the USGA men's national open.
Let's take a look at the latest odds for the event.
US Open odds
Scottie Scheffler Scheffler and Jon Rahm US Open Odds
The usual suspects are atop the odds list. Scottie Scheffler is listed as the betting favorite as he seeks his second major and first U.S. Open.
Jon Rahm is right behind him, trying to win his third major and second U.S. Open. Rory McIlroy is up there as well as people are still anxiously awaiting him to win his first major since 2014.
Then, there's Brooks Koepka. Right up there alongside McIlroy.
Brooks Koepka US Open Odds
Many people thought Koepka's game had fallen off and that we'd never see him return to form, but now he has racked up a T2 at The Masters, which he was leading going into the final round, and a win at the PGA Championship. He has proven that he can compete at the level he was when he won four majors between 2017-2019.
Still, sportsbooks aren't willing to put his odds up there with Scheffler's and Rahm's.
Is that a mistake? Should we bet on Koepka once again?
