AUSTIN, TEXAS: Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" discussed the Reddit community's criticism of YouTube legend Felix "PewDiePie" becoming a parent during a recent livestream on August 15, 2023.

Notably, ‘Reddit seethes over PewDiePie being a new father’, a video by YouTuber Hero Hei, sparked the conversation when Asmongold responded to it.

Asmongold defends PewDiePie

In response to a comment on the r/antinatalism subreddit, Asmongold said, “Bro, they get mad at this stuff. Like, what the heck? If you don't want babies, that's fine. But getting mad at other people (that are) happy to have children.”

He added, “In this image, PewDiePie is literally holding his baby and, like, smiling out of joy, looking at his baby. And, that subreddit is just, like, looking at and seething.”

Moreover, Hero Hei took a look at some of the comments made in the discussion and added, “Bro, what are these comments? 'I can't believe people are having babies in 2023 with all the evidence about climate change. It really makes you question if people are even good at all.”

Asmongold made a statement on the viewpoints of the neighborhood on the r/antinatalism forum, saying, “I think people like this are great because they're in their own safe space and they're not going to reproduce. And, these kinds of problems just kind of work themselves out. Just over the years. So, I think this is a great thing.”

Fans troll PewDiePie for having a baby

As PewDiePie became a father and posted his first picture with his baby on the internet, many Reddit users had something sour to say. A user commented on a Reddit post saying, “If you take into account of all the exponential feedback loop, 90%+ of all humans who exist today could be dead by 2050” whereas another user commented, “When the f**k is it going to kill me? I’m ready.”

Another fan commented, “Alright this is just stupid. Playing God? Really? I dont think you know what that term actually means. Every day I find a reason to leave this sub cuz some of you are just doing too much.”

Moreover, around 530 responses were left in the YouTube comments section in response to Asmongold's answer to Redditors attacking PewDiePie for having a child.
