BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Tristan Tate, a polarizing figure in the realm of social media, recently utilized the platform X to convey his admiration for the Chechen army while drawing comparisons to other historic military forces celebrated in their eras.

Tate has been actively sharing his thoughts on the evolving Israel-Hamas conflict but his statements have garnered a mixed reception online.

What did Tristan Tate say about the Chechen army?

Tate came upon an X post from the user @SameeraKhan.

The post featured images and a video showcasing the Chechen army, accompanied by a caption in which @SameeraKhan asked, "What happens to Israel if Kadyrov sends these guys over to defend Palestine?"

The Chechen Army, also recognized as the Kadyrovites, serves as the military force of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and has played an active role in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

In response, Tate drew parallels between the Chechen army and historical military forces while showering them with praise.

He expressed, "Every historical era has had one particular soldier which was scarier and deadlier than any other. The Spartan hoplite, the Roman centurion, the Polish winged hussar, the Grand Armeès old guard. Today… we have the Chechen."

A user stated, "Lol those dudes get mopped up my navy seals or rangers. Give me a break."

Responding to this user, @TheTelTitan, Tate wrote, "How did those guys do against illiterate Afghan farmers with no tanks or airforce? “Mopped up” in deed. A resounding Afghan victory after a TWENTY YEAR war. Humiliating."

"The USA isn’t what it used to be, only Americans believe the hype," he added.
