LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott announced their split last week over social media, ending their 18 years of relationship. Dean wrote, "It’s with great sadness and a very, very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own."
Currently, as per sources, it is claimed that the duo tried their best till last to make it work, “Their friends have seen their ups and downs through the years, but they really did seem to be in a good place in recent months. This feels really out of the blue." The source added, "If this had happened a year ago, it would’ve been expected because things were terrible between them. Sure, they still had their disagreements and didn’t always see eye to eye, but the past six months things had felt good between them.” Another source close to the family said, “They were definitely trying in the last few months though, and things felt way less toxic. They also made an effort to make holidays and milestones special and were much more in tune with each other. It’s been a night-and-day difference from the last couple of years.”
'We will continue to work together as loving parents'
Through a post on social media, the former couple also talked about co-parenting their children, "We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time." However, later they deleted the post. They got married back in 2006, and share five children, Liam Aaron McDermott, 16, Stella Doreen, 15, Hattie Margaret, 11, Finn Davey, 10, and six-year-old Beau Dean.
Their troubled relationship was also marred by a cheating scandal, which was shown on their reality show 'True Tori'. Spelling had revealed to People the impact that the fling had on their relationship, she said: “We had to start over. We had to completely rebuild."
'Our troubles are next level'
In May, Tori Spelling opened up about the struggle her family has to go through due to a Mold problem at their home, leading to health issues. Spelling, 50, asked, on her social media handle before adding, "Our troubles are next level with our MOLD problem and the house that's been slowly killing us for 3 years," as per People.
