PUNTA MITA, MEXICO: In the year 2020, 'Too Hot To Handle' introduced Bryce Hirschberg to the dating show. Fast forward to 2023, Season 5 brings us another contestant with the same name, Bryce Saltmarsh. The show's new season continues with its unique dating concept, where single men and women explore relationships under strict rules set by an AI device named Lana. Although the contestants think it was a casual dating show, they soon realize they must form genuine connections without any physical intimacy.
During the first phase of the competition, the twist about the show's real purpose is revealed to the contestants. However, the surprises don't end there, as the second phase introduced two new arrivals: Bryce and Linzy Luu. Elys chooses Alex over Bryce
Bryce picked Elys to go on a date with him, and they went to the beach together. At first, Alex was worried and unsure about Bryce's choice, but he had to trust Elys and their relationship. Elys secretly hoped her date wouldn't be Australian, as she finds Australian guys cute and her type. When she met Bryce, she admitted he was exactly what she was looking for. During the date, the partners had a chance to spy on them from afar and get more information from Lana, the AI device. Then they had to decide whether to let their partners continue the date or switch them for someone else from the group. Christine chose to swap out her partner, Louis, when he went on a date with Linzy. However, Alex trusted Elys and allowed her to keep going on the date. Alex was really anxious about how the date would turn out. In the end, Elys confessed that she had a great connection with the newcomer, but her bond with Alex was stronger. She said that Alex's sense of humor was unique, and nobody else made her laugh like he did. Lana also gave them permission to share a kiss without any consequences.
