NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ host Craig Melvin’s wife Lindsay Czarniak has recently revealed her husband’s whereabouts in adorable new pics.
Czarniak took to Instagram to share photos from their family vacation which features Melvin and their two children, Delano and Sybil.
Melvin was reportedly absent from ‘Today’ on Monday and Tuesday and didn’t give any explanation for his sudden absence. However, he returned on the ‘Today’ show for Wednesday broadcast from his mini-vacation and replaced co-host Savannah Guthrie.
Meanwhile, Melvin was brutally slammed by comedian Jo Koy on live TV for eating popsicles in a “gruesome” manner. He later stated that Koy was being “judgy” about the whole thing.
‘Today’ Craig Melvin’s mini-vacation
Craig Melvin’s recent return to the morning show on Wednesday marked the end of his brief absence. His last appearance on ‘Today’ was observed on Friday, August 11, filling in for Hoda Kotb, who was absent throughout the week.
Melvin mysteriously went missing on Monday and Tuesday, and his post was subsequently filled in for by Sheinelle Jones. Apparently, Melvin’s wife Lindsay Czarniak took to Instagram to shed light on his whereabouts during those days.
The post featured snapshots of a family getaway, illustrating quality time spent together. The images showcased Melvin, Czarniak, and their children, Delano and Sybil, enjoying the outdoors.
The family engaged in making s'mores, their smiling faces reflecting the shared joy. She captioned the post, “Everyone needs s’more time to be together. Recharged after a long weekend away with the fam.”
In the thread of photos, Melvin and Czarniak were seen with wine glasses in hand, while their kids excitedly held marshmallows on sticks, preparing to roast them for s'mores.
Subsequent photos featured Delano and Sybil gently blowing on their marshmallows and removing them from the sticks. The thread of photos concluded with a cozy selfie of Czarniak and Melvin by the fire.
Melvin affectionately had his arm around his wife’s neck, both sporting smiles for the camera.

Lindsay Czarniak was not the first to provide context for Craig Melvin’s absence on the show. His co-host, Al Roker took the initiative to address the situation to viewers, explaining the co-anchor's temporary departure.
During the ‘3rd Hour of Today’ on Monday morning, Melvin’s familiar spot at the news desk remained vacant. Roker took a moment to discuss his colleague's whereabouts with fellow hosts Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer.
Roker informed the audience that Melvin was on vacation but had also taken a pause from his usual duties for a significant assignment.
Earlier in the show, it had been revealed that Melvin had conducted an exclusive interview with Dwayne Wade, the new NBA Hall of Fame inductee.
The program shared glimpses of this interview, and Melvin further elaborated on the details during a video call in the show's third hour.
