'They know who he really is': Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were blindsided by letters becoming public, claims ex-scientologist

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Aaron Smith-Levin, a former scientologist, who claimed to remain in contact with Danny Masterson's rape victims, has now alleged that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were unaware of their supporting letters for the convicted actor would be made public.

Raised in the Church of Scientology, Smith-Levin spoke to NewsNation about his views on the controversial case based on his daily contact with the victims.

The 'That 70s Show' star was sentenced to 30 years in prison after he was found guilty of raping two women in the 2000s.

Aaron Smith-Levin claims Ashton Kutcher 'very well' knows the type of person Danny Masterson is

Talking about the support letters, Smith-Levin further shared that Kutcher "knows very well the kind of guy that he was."

He added that the 'No Strings Attached' actor knew "very well" the type of person Masterson was when a character reference for his friend and co-star was written, according to Daily Mail.

The ex-scientologist claims the actor's hands are also "filthy dirty." He and his wife Mila Kunis called Masterson an "extraordinarily honest" person who is known to have a "tremendous positive influence" on the people around him.

"I think when Ashton says it was meant for the judge to read, what that really means is we didn't think anybody would see these letters," said Smith-Levin.

"And if you actually read the letters, it doesn't just say, oh, you know, think of his poor daughter, you know, his daughter, shouldn't grow up without a father for more than 15 years."

"The letters went so far as to say Danny Masterson is essentially the kindest, gentlest, most gracious person I've ever known. I've never known him to be anything other than a wonderful person," he added.

"And it's just not true. Ashton's hands are pretty filthy dirty in his complicity with some of the behavior that Danny Masterson has exhibited over the last 30 years, Danny Masterson was one of his closest friends."

Smith-Levin further emphasized that "Ashton Kutcher knows very well, the kind of guy that Danny Masterson was. I mean, if you read the letters, it's shocking."

What did Aaron Smith-Levin talk about Mila Kunis' involvement in the Danny Masterson case?

The former scientologist talked to the outlet about Kunis' involvement in the case and expressed his view that he "thinks Mila Kunis is someone who herself was abused from a young age."

"She was 14 years old when she started acting on that show, Danny was 22 or 23, Ashton Kutcher was 19."

"Some of the things that have come out on social media in the last couple of days is some extremely inappropriate sexual behavior between the group mostly involving Mila, so it's hard for me to condemn or blame Mila too much, honestly," he said.

However, Smith-Levin still believes that "it's very easy to blame, Ashton."

"One of the things that's been thoroughly documented in this, in this case, is that as a scientologist drugging and violently raping other members is not enough to get you expelled, but telling the authorities that you were raped by a scientologist is enough to get you expelled," the former scientologist added.
