'The show must go on': Billie Eilish performs at Ireland concert despite being 'really sick'

COUNTY LAOIS, IRELAND: Billie Eilish is a true fighter. Despite being sick, the 21-year-old superstar did not disappoint her fans in Ireland on Friday night.

The down-to-earth performer, who surprised her admirers by flying economy, gave her all to the 50,000 people who came to see her at Electric Picnic 2023 in County Laois.

What did Billie Eilish say to her fans?

The Grammy winner sent a message to her fans on social media, writing, "Ireland. I am really, really sick and honestly, really suffering."

She added, "You know me and you know that I wouldn't cancel a show if I was like literally dying... (this does feel pretty close tho lol) but the show must go on." "I will see you tonight," she added in the end, as reported by Daily Mail.

She then asked for some consideration, saying, "Please keep in mind that I am trying my best and I'm gonna need your help tonight. Go hard for me ;)"

Did Billie Eilish choke during Ireland concert?

The ailing hitmaker sounded a little choked up as she spoke into the microphone in a video published by Leinster Express from the top of the show.

The 'Lovely' singer begged the audience to "give me all that you've got, okay, because I can only do so much tonight."

She then instructed them to increase their energy by bouncing with her. "If I can do it, you f**king can do it," she said.

Billie began the event by bouncing across the stage while performing 'You Should See Me In a Crown'.

For the performance, the Billboard Music Award winner wore a loose-fitting white Nike top over black basketball shorts, with black socks and white sneakers.

She wore a cap with the phrase 'Danger' on it over her dark hair. In a fan video published on Instagram, the crowd can be heard singing 'Happier Than Ever' alongside the singer, who had to halt to cough.

According to the Independent, she invited the audience to turn to the person next to them and hug them to foster a sense of togetherness.

Billie Eilish ended concert on a high note

According to the outlet, Billie Eilish ended the 70-minute performance by telling the audience, "I love you so much, thanks for having me, but I'll see you again."

'The Bad Guy' artist evidently needs some downtime. Her website says her next concert isn't until September 16 in Atlanta.
