The US Open has wrapped up and now we're three quarters of they way through the 2023 major championships.
The final one is scheduled for next month. It's the Open Championship, formally known as the British Open, and it's set to be hosted at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
Ironically enough, after once again finishing runner up at a major, Rory McIlroy gets to return to a spot of former glory for him. The last time The Open was hosted at Royal Liverpool was in 2014 and it was won by McIlroy.
It was his second to last major that he won. He was victorious at PGA Championship in August of that year, one month after winning The Open. He has yet to win a major since.
Whether it's a result of how he performed at this past weekend's US Open, or due to his success at Royal Liverpool, oddsmakers have McIlroy set as the betting favorite to win the event and finally break his drought.
Familiar names follow him on the list of odds. Jon Rahm and Scottie Scheffler are second and third, followed by the PGA Championship winner, Brooks Koepka. The last two winners of The Open round out the top six in Cameron Smith and Collin Morikawa.
Let's take a look at the full list of odds.
