Taylor Swift fan Felipe Conrado aims to auction singer's broken Louboutin heel for cousin's cancer treatment funds

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL: Felipe Conrado, the fortunate fan who caught the broken heels tossed into the crowd by pop sensation Taylor Swift during her Eras Tour concert in Rio de Janeiro, has decided to sell the priceless memorabilia to raise funds for his cousin's cancer treatment.

The 33-year-old singer's Christian Louboutin boots broke on stage during her 'Lover' setlist performance at the Estádio Nilton Santos in Rio on November 20.

The lucky Swiftie, who had VIP tickets to all three of the 'Shake It Off' singers sold-out shows in Rio, shared his image on Instagram holding the heel and asked everyone to spread the news.

According to the Daily Mail translation of his caption from Portuguese to English, he said, "As many have been following, we are in a large mobilization to help fund my cousin's cancer treatment. If you can share or disclose, the link is in the bio!"

Who is Felipe Conrado?

According to his LinkedIn profile, Conrado is from Rio de Janeiro and has worked as a communications and brand coordinator at Fundação Roberto Marinho since April 2022. The lucky one's Instagram profile self-describes as the proud "owner of @taylorswift high heels."

Conrad revealed that the money collected would directly go to the treatment of his cousin Angela Conrado, 36, who was diagnosed with melanoma.

According to her fundraising page, she "needs 12 sessions of immunotherapy, with the drug Nivolumab," which costs R$ 9200.00 (nearly $730) per month. The Brazilian healthcare system does not cover this expense.

This is not the first time a fan has sold Taylor Swift memorabilia

There were instances when the pop star's fans tried to capitalize on their love for her. Many such memorabilia were sold online after the Eras Tour film premiere.

2200 Swifties were invited to the 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' movie premiere on October 11, and they received some souvenirs like a popcorn tin and a cup. According to TMZ, some fans sold these collectibles on eBay, with some items reaching up to $250.

The demand for the items was through the roof due to Swift's immense popularity.

Netizens react to Felipe Conrado's auction

Since Conrado has decided to sell the prized possession for a noble cause, many on social media hope he gets enough for it to treat the cousin.

One user commented on Facebook, "Aw I hope he gets good money for it."

Another user stated that the broken heel is "Priceless!!"

"Hope he gets a lot for it and hope it helps!!! Mrs S," said a third user.

"Let's hope he gets a lot for it," said another one.
