ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' are expanding their business with a new venture. According to Deadline, the pair has joined the production crew for the revival of 'The Wiz', in which the Tony-winning musical will be reintroduced to the Broadway stage with new material by Amber Ruffin. Kandi headed to Instagram to tell her followers the good news. 'RHOA' viewers saw it as an appropriate response to her co-stars, Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton, who had previously questioned her Broadway career.
Marlo's dispute with Kandi continues in Season 15 after they feuded in Season 14 over a charity donation and what it takes to be a good friend. Not a month ago, Sheree and Marlo came together to call out Kandi for making a shocking comment in the new season's promo.

'Everything about 'The Wiz' is epic!'
Kandi and Todd have agreed to produce the next Broadway version of 'The Wiz'. The production will begin a nationwide tour in the autumn before returning to the Main Stem in spring 2024 at an unnamed theatre.
The husband-and-wife combination previously acted as producers of the 2022 'Piano Lesson' revival, which is nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. Kandi worked as a producer on 'Thoughts of a Coloured Man' on her own. Her first connection to Broadway was as a performer. In 2018, she played Matron "Mama" Morton in 'Chicago' for a two-month run.
Kandi is best known to reality television viewers as a cast member of 'RHOA,' a show she has been a part of since its second season. She is also a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, best recognized for her work on the TLC hit 'No Scrubs'. Todd works as a TV production manager and producer. They manage a full-service production firm together. "Everything about 'The Wiz' is epic!" stated the couple in a statement.

On May 25, Kandi took to her Instagram to share the happy news where she received support from many. Throwing a dig at her adversaries Marlo and Sheree, one person commented, "Mario and Shien by Sheree about to do 10 interviews about you...Keep killing these thirsty hating “women” with your success.God dont bless no mess!" Another person chimed in, "I know thats right Marlo going be eating her words for saying " broadway wasn't working out for her" jeep proving the haters wrong." One user further commented, "“bRoAdWaY dIdNT wOrK” girl HUSH!! Kandi wins yet AGAIN!" A fourth person cheered on saying, "👏🏽👏🏽The clean hearted always wins in the end. Keep winning!!"
