Argentina coach Michael Cheika has made 11 changes to his team for their must-win final World Cup Pool D match against Japan in Nantes on Sunday.
Santiago Carreras returns at fly-half in place of Nicolas Sanchez, who drops to the bench, while prop Francisco Gomez Kodela will make his first start since the opening-game defeat against England.
Only Guido Petti, Marcos Kremer, Juan Martin Gonzalez and Lucio Cinti retained their places from the team that defeated Chile 59-5 last week.
The winner of Sunday's match will qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals alongside already-qualified England, who will top the pool.
The loser will miss out on advancing to the knock-out phase.
"We think it has good balance, not only in the starting XV but also in the eight that finish the game," Cheika said of the team.
"We are happy with the work we've done, the competition within the squad. Choosing the team was difficult."
Cheika said that after Los Pumas went down 27-10 to England, the games against Samoa (19-10) and Chile (59-5) had had a "final" feel about it.
"In international rugby, you don't always have games where everything is at stake. We have been doing it since the game against England," the former Australian coach said.
"It will be the third elimination match and we hope to have three more from now on."
Argentina skipper Julian Montoya called the game "a defining match".
"We know that the game, rugby, life, is not going to be perfect. The issue is how we get out of those moments and make them positive," the hooker said.
