Premier League predictions: Gameweek 14

The 2023/24 Premier League resumes after midweek European action with five games apiece to follow on Saturday and Sunday.

There's a double dose of evening fixtures on Saturday night when Everton's trip to Nottingham Forest is followed by Newcastle's clash with Manchester United before the gameweek comes to a close on Sunday as Manchester City host Tottenham.

With potential for movement all over the Premier League table, here's how 90min sees Gameweek 14 playing out.

Premier League predictions: Week 14

There's no Friday night or Saturday lunch-time kick-off to start Gameweek 14, with three 15:00 (GMT) games starting proceedings. Arsenal were ruthless in the Champions League as they tore Lens apart to win their group and the good times may well continue when a Wolves side dogged by another piece of VAR injustice visit the Emirates Stadium.

Luton Town will hope to string consecutive Premier League victories together for the first time ever when they take on Brentford. The Bees have lost back-to-back matches to Liverpool and Arsenal and have slipped out of the top ten.

Two of the bottom three clash when Burnley entertain Sheffield United at Turf Moor. The two promoted sides have managed two wins, 21 losses and nine points between them on their returns to the top flight ahead of a true six-pointer.

The television slate starts at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest look to avoid a third league defeat in a row against Sean Dyche's Everton. The Toffees couldn't produce a rousing on-field response to their recent points deduction as they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United last time out.

Newcastle United suffered from more VAR controversy in midweek as they were denied a win at Paris Saint-Germain. The injury-hit Magpies have won six of their seven league games at St James' Park and take on a Manchester United team that has lost away at Tottenham and Arsenal this season.

There are four 14:00 (GMT) fixtures to follow on Sunday featuring Europa League and Conference League victors from Thursday night.

Aston Villa moved into the top four by beating Tottenham in north London and will expect another positive away day in the south of England when they travel to Bournemouth. The Cherries, however, have strung together two wins to move seven points clear of the relegation zone with little more than a third of the league season played.

Chelsea and Brighton have squared off at Stamford Bridge once already this term before they meet again in Gameweek 14. Nicolas Jackson scored the only goal of a Carabao Cup tie in late September, but it's the Seagulls who are six points ahead of the Blues.

Liverpool's squad depth is being tested with Alisson and Diogo Jota the latest to hit the Anfield treatment rooms, but Jurgen Klopp's side are still heavy favourites against a Fulham side without an away league victory since the opening day of the season.

West Ham have enjoyed an excellent run in all competitions of late, winning five of their last six games, and they could improve on that streak when they take on Crystal Palace, who are smarting from losses to Everton and Luton.

The action comes to a close as Manchester City aim to deal with a wounded Tottenham Hotspur. The Cityzens could find themselves four points behind league leaders Arsenal at kick-off and should take advantage of the visitors' vast list of absentees.
