Here's why Markiplier doesn't collaborate with PewDiePie anymore

‘It’s my dream to do YouTube’

In one of his videos, PewDiePie discussed his YouTube career, retirement, and the reasons he hasn't given up. “It’s my dream, after all, to do YouTube,” as per Sportskeeda. PewDiePie posted a seven-minute video titled ‘Why I didn't quit’ on September 14, 2022. The video explains what finally caused him to think of stopping his YouTube channel and what kept him there.

According to the well-known celebrity, the continual criticism and scrutiny had a negative impact on his mental health and led him to ponder leaving YouTube. But despite not feeling like filming videos, he persisted because of the unwavering love of his viewers and followers.

“Two years ago when I decided that I was gonna quit. It was because I had gone through so much drama at the time. You know, it hasn't always been perfect. But I do feel I have gone through a lot of scrutiny as well. The negative was just outweighing the good at that point. But it didn't feel right to quit when other people, especially when so many people were still being so supportive,” he added.

‘New experiences and different things’

The Swedish YouTuber reflected on his past and said he was ready for ‘new experiences and different things’ after thanking his fans for supporting him through thick and thin and enabling him to establish a profession out of something he was and still is really passionate about. He then discussed how, at one time, he wasn't finding content production to be satisfying.

“I realized at that time that, you know, to keep trying to push the channel to grow more and more and more all the time wasn't doing anything for me personally. I wasn't getting anything out of the money, or the recognition, or the fame. At least that part had kind of peaked, you know?” Pewds added.

Finally, he discussed his experience on the red platform during the previous two years and what has prevented him from leaving, saying, “YouTube has started to become fun again over the last two years. Why should I quit? It’s my dream, after all, to do YouTube.”
