Pauline Sanchez-Rodriguez: Aunt of Rudy Farias slams his mother Janie Santana as 'manipulative and greedy'

HOUSTON, TEXAS: Rudy Farias’ aunt has called out his mother by describing her “manipulative” and “greedy” after it was disclosed that the 25-year-old man had not been missing for all these years. Reports revealed that Farias’ mother Janie Santana had in fact hidden him for years and kept on making fake stories to the police as well as their friends and relatives.

But now, Santana’s angry sister Pauline Sanchez-Rodriguez told the New York Post, “Janie, I know you’re listening to me. I’ll say it in a nice way because your day is coming. We’re almost there to get you. There’s nowhere you can run because I’m going to make sure that posters go all over. Don’t even attempt to get into an airport and go anywhere.”

Who is Pauline Sanchez-Rodriguez?

There is nothing much known about Pauline Sanchez-Rodriguez except that she’s the aunt of Rudy Farias and sister of Janie Santana, who allegedly ran away from her house at midnight on July 5 after it was found her son had been living with her all these years. Lt Chris Zamora with HPD’s Missing Persons Unit reportedly said, “Rudy returned home the following day on March 8, 2015. Both Janie, Rudy’s mother, and Rudy himself gave fictitious names while interacting with various patrol officers.”

Sanchez-Rodriguez also went on to reveal that Santana had “always been manipulative.” She continued, “She’s had different husbands, different names. She’s a very greedy person. It’s all about money.” Another news outlet, Click2Houston, reported Sanchez-Rodriguez as saying, “He [Farias] doesn’t want to go back to his mom. I still feel that he’s traumatized. He’s gone through a lot and I still feel that further actions need to be taken."

Rudy Farias was 'forced to do what his mother told him'

Santana’s cousin, Michelle Rodriquez, also does not have anything good to say about her as she told the Post that Rudy Farias “was forced to do what his mother told him to do. His mother has held him [at home] under false pretenses that if he reached out and looked for help, he was going to go to jail and something bad was going to happen to him.”

The cousin claimed, “She’s always been after any way that she can get money. Anything that she has to do, she does no matter who it hurts. And then she moves on to another one,” before criticizing authorities’ step to not press charges against Santana earlier. “Right now, Janie has the chance to get further away. She’s fleeing. They’re giving her a head start when all they had to do was bring her in,” Rodriguez added.

‘No child should ever be treated like that’

The views of Janie Santana's relatives come as a counselor openly accused Farias’ mother of abusing him. Quanell X, who is also a community activist, reportedly said, “I heard horrific things from that young man, and I didn’t want him to see me shedding tears but I couldn’t hold [them] back. No child should ever be treated like that by their own mother.”

“She was giving him drugs. She was punishing him by locking him in a room over and over. She convinced him that law enforcement wanted to put him in jail, that law enforcement was looking for him because he ran away, and that because he ran away, he was going to go to prison,” he added.
