LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paul McCartney loves spending time with wife Nancy Shevell, as the couple added another happy year of marriage together.

On Monday, October 9, the legendary Beatle gushed over his wife as the two celebrated their 12th marriage anniversary.

"Happy anniversary to my lovely wife, Nancy. Let’s have a great one - Paul ?," he captioned the image, where they posed outdoors.

Where did Paul McCartney meet his wife Nancy Shevell for the first time?

McCartney, who began dating Shevell in 2007 after meeting in the Hamptons, later told the Sunday Times, "I just like being in love."

Eventually, the two tied the knot in October, of the same year at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London.

While his daughter Stella McCartney designed the couple's outfit, his celeb fans made sure they attended their pal’s wedding.

The A-listers included Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach, and George Harrison’s widow, Olivia Harrison, reports People.

What did Paul McCartney say about being a husband?

On his official website, Paul shared his role as a husband, "I see it as just trying to be good to my wife Nancy and trying to be considerate and romantic," he wrote while poking fun over Valentine's Day.

"I completely overdo Valentine’s Day! I mean, there’s not just one card, there are cards hidden around the room, and sometimes things even spill into the next day — it’s completely silly. If there’s an excuse to have some fun, I overdo it!" the 81-year-old continued.

"At Christmas, I go crazy with the tree lights and fairy lights — totally overdo it."

Paul also feels wonderful that his wife ‘relies on’ him.

"I am very proud, in fact, to be 'The Guy' there. And I know she is grateful. So that's my role as a husband: it's to be the strength and the romance at the same time," he wrote.

"I don't think I consciously chose to be that way. It's just how I do things." The day was also important to McCartney for another reason, his late pal and bandmate John Lennon’s birthday.

"Celebrating the birthday of my wonderful friend and collaborator, @johnlennon," he wrote on Instagram and shared a picture of himself performing in front of Lennon’s photograph.

Fans rushed to congratulate McCartney and Shevell on their marriage anniversary on social media.

One fan wrote, "All the very best to you both x."

"Great Paul. We expect you guys with so much love in Mexico," the second fan said from across the border.

"Happy Anniversary! May God continue to bless you both and keep you happy??" commented another.

An X user said, "Have a brilliant day Paul. You are loved, you deserve it all!❤️"
