Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed the blockbuster signing of Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Frankfurt had long held firm on their £85m asking price for their star forward, however 90min confirmed earlier on September 1 that PSG had agreed a £77m fee for the forward. A stumbling block remained regarding the German club's ability to find a replacement for Kolo Muani.
PSG had offered young Hugo Ekitike to the Bundesliga a number of times, but Ekitke's unwillingness to make the move to Frankfurt looked to have all but scuppered the deal.
In the final hours of the transfer window, the Ligue 1 giants have convinced Frankfurt to part ways with Kolo Muani without a replacement lined up.
Kolo Muani rose to prominence during the 2022/23 season thanks to his impressive 15 goals and 14 assists in 32 Bundesliga outings.
The France international had been extremely keen to join up with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele in the PSG attack, even skipping training in order to push through a move.
"I owe Eintracht a lot. I always gave my best. But it's no secret that PSG made a record offer for me, I'd like to join them as it's big opportunity I hope Eintracht will accept," said Kolo Muani after making efforts to make a transfer happen - a transfer that has now materialised.
