Paige Spiranac offers to step in as NBC Sports' golf analyst, fans believe she would 'spike ratings instantly'

WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO: Professional golfer turned influencer Paige Spiranac seems to be interested in changing the trajectory of her career and turning to television, much to the delight of her fans.

The influencer hinted at her wish to become a sports analyst as she reacted to the news that NBC Sports' lead golf analyst Paul Azinger has parted ways with the channel.

Is Paige Spiranac really joining NBC Sports?

NBC Sports' lead golf analyst Paul Azinger's contract has not been renewed and his five-year spell on screens came to an end with immediate effect as it expired. Paige didn't take much time to point out that she is available and willing to fill the vacancy.

On November 19, she reposted a Tweet that said, "JUST IN: Paul Azinger / NBC Sports part ways as contract ends." She wrote, "Fine, I’ll step in," after which her fans were abuzz with activity.

Most people who saw the tweet hoped that the beauty would land the role and backed her in the comments. Azinger is a former pro golfer who won the 1993 PGA Championship. Paige was also a professional golfer before shifting her focus to becoming an influencer.

The golf beauty now has an incredible 3.9 million followers on Instagram. However, in May, she said that TV companies are "scared" of her and fear that she may talk about boobs on air, as per The Sun.

She said, "It is not like something I am just going to get into and do it. They need to want you and traditional media is scared of me and don't want to work with me because from what I have been told 'I am unpredictable'.

She added, "Probably because of the content I create and they are worried as I don't have a filter but I am a pro. I know what to say and when I need to say it and I'm not going to be making boob jokes on network television. But they are scared as I am apparently too risque."

Fans wish to see Paige Spiranac on NBC

Within a day of posting, the tweet gained over a million views, and fans gushed over her in the comment section, imagining what she would be like as a sports analyst. A user wrote, "Paige in the broadcast booth (with special appearances from Sam) would spike ratings instantly and the actual info would be better too."

Another person pointed out, "There has to be broadcasting space for you at @livgolf league."

A third fan pointed out her impeccable fashion, declaring, "Finally! Someone with fashion sense hosting NBC sports."

One fan also added, "I wish you would. I am sure viewership will go up substantially!"

Another comment said, "We could only hope." "You would be so much more entertaining," claimed a fan.
