LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Soon-to-be-father Travis Scott is being lauded for his parenting quality! Oscar De La Hoya took a moment to praise the drummer for raising his daughter Atiana De La Hoya, whom he shares with ex-Shanna Moakler. The former boxer who’d be releasing a two-part HBO documentary, ‘The Golden Boy,’ soon said in an interview, "Look, I didn't raise my kids, you know? Their moms did. And I have to give credit where credit is due," said De La Hoya.
"I'm grateful that Barker was there, you know, as a father figure for my daughter,” he said before adding “I have to be grateful that Shanna [Moakler] was a mother to Atiana, and just know my place, basically, you know? My place — I'm obviously a father, and I'm proud of it.” The 50-year-old boxing promoter also thanked Baker for ‘stepping up the plate,’ “But, again, I'm grateful for what they've done, especially with Barker. He's obviously stepped up to the plate. He's such a nice guy. I have the utmost respect for him."
'I'm just grateful for what he's done'
De La Hoya welcomed Atiana with Moakler in 1999, just a year before they parted ways. Moakler then married Barker in 2004 and together raised her daughter when she was five. The two also co-parent son Landon, 19, and daughter Alabama, 17. The pro boxer further added, "He's a good guy. I've talked to him several times. And we communicate about Atiana. I'm just grateful for what he's done."
'I already know his name '
A few weeks ago Kourtney Kardashian publicly announced her pregnancy to Travis via a handwritten sign during his band Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles. She also recently posted pictures of her baby bump and a few with her husband. Baker cheekily commented, "I already know his name." The Kardashians star captioned her post, "Little drummer boy coming soon."
Barker and Kourtney married in 2022, and the former is also step-dad to her kids with ex Scott Disick, sons Mason, 13, and Reign, 8, and daughter Penelope, 11, according to People.
An insider said, though Disick is trying to be supportive of Kourtney amid her pregnancy, he still has mixed feelings. "Scott is being as supportive as possible while also trying to take care of himself. It stings a little and he will always have love for Kourtney, but at the same time, he is also happy and excited for her. He wants to continue to move on and focus on his own personal life."
