Baltimore Orioles closer Felix Bautista has the most badass entrance to close out games ever!
Don't act like you're not impressed!
I don't care if you happen to root for any other AL East team, Felix Bautista of the Baltimore Orioles has the most epic entrance music to close out games ever. "The Mountain" channels his inner Omar Little whenever he takes the field for the O's. You hear "A Hunting We Will Go" being whistled like the iconic character from The Wire, and it is so f*****g Baltimore. This is so incredible!
So this is a thing now?! 1000 percent absolutely. If only Michael K. Williams could have seen this…
I don't really know how this can ever be topped. This is part of what makes baseball so awesome!
Omar coming down The Mountain! Everybody run for your lives! You have no other choice here.
Baltimore Orioles closer Felix Bautista enters games like Omar Little so would
When pop culture and sports intersect like this, you just have to marvel at it. This is purely authentic and something only the Orioles could pull off. It may not be the loudest of entrances, but the point is well made. When you hear that whistle, you better watch out 'cause Omar coming! We are talking about one of the greatest characters from one of the greatest television shows ever.
The really cool part is the Orioles are finally really good again. It had been a long time coming for the O's to be making some noise in baseball. Yes, there were moments a year ago where we all kind of saw something special starting to be brewed out of this team. While they are still trailing the Tampa Bay Rays in-division, Baltimore is most definitely a team ready for the postseason.
Last year, we had a lot of trumpets in the NL East. I'll be the first to admit that it got a little noisy. Though it was certainly really cool, it wasn't this… This is different. I cannot imagine leading off the ninth inning down one-to-three runs with Bautista coming out of the bullpen to the sound of Omar Little whistling "A Hunting We Will Go". It has to be absolutely terrifying for the opposition.
The best part is the better the Orioles play, the more and more this will become part of the lexicon.
