Robot vacuum deals have always been a pillar of Prime Day.

While we expect to see some pretty intense price cuts from all major robot vacuum brands (Roborock and Shark both have new models we hope to see in the mix), don't be surprised if iRobot is the main contender here.

Though the news of Amazon's acquisition of iRobot isn't new anymore, it's definitely still fuel for the robot vacuums that get attention during Prime Day. With the slew of new Roombas that were conveniently announced a month ahead of Prime Day, there are countless opportunities for unprecedented Roomba deals.

Why we like it

Prime members are getting access to a Roomba with smart mapping for under $200. That 50% off sale price is a perfect example of the steals that are possible when Amazon has a vested interest in iRobot's success.

Last year, the Roomba i4 (along with the i3 and i5) was blessed with a software update that brought Imprint Smart Mapping technology to most of the budget Roombas. On top of being able to clean specific rooms and stay out of specific areas at your command, the i3 cleans with 10 times the suction power of the Roomba 692, which is on sale for just $35 less.

Another Prime exclusive 50% off Roomba deal is on the Roomba j6+, the cheapest Roomba that can detect and avoid phone chargers and pet waste. Compared to the Roomba j7+, the j6+'s obstacle detection cameras aren't quite as precise, and still may require you to pick up things like towels or put a virtual barrier around pet bowls.

Their suction power and self-empty dock capacity are exactly the same however, so you can probably deal with ensuring socks get into the hamper.

Robot vacuum and mop hybrids

Why we like it

The Roomba Combo j7+ isn't the only true mopping Roomba now that options like the more advanced Combo j9+ and less advanced Combo i5+ or j6+ exist. That just puts it at even more of a sweet spot for a lot of shoppers, especially with a $799 price tag that's way more digestible than its original MSRP of $1,099.99.

On top of meticulously avoiding random objects you may have lying on the floor at any given time, the Combo j7+ also promises to avoid carpets and rugs while mopping. It does this by completely retracting its mopping pad to the top of the robot vac body to differentiate wet and dry cleaning without you having to physically swap any parts.
