GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA: In the last three years, MrBeast has become the undisputed YouTube king. Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson grew his following on the network from making funny videos with his friends to have over 160 million subscribers.
In one of his recent Instagram posts, MrBeast did a competition to see which is easier to set up, a physical shop or an online one. In this competition, his two friends Nolan and Ohio Boss took part where Nolan was building a shop with a Shopify website whereas Ohio Boss was building a real one with wood and nails.
‘He is having a tough time’
When the competition started, Nolan took no time to set up the website whereas Ohio Boss was not able to set up a table till then. As soon as Nolan set up the website by listing various products, he started to earn money after a few minutes as customers started to buy things online from his Shopify website.
Moreover, it seemed like it was a paid promotion by Shopify for MrBeast to advertise their website. Ottawa, Ontario-based Shopify Inc is a global Canadian e-commerce business. Their in-house developed e-commerce platform for online storefronts and retail point-of-sale systems is called Shopify. The platform provides a range of services to online businesses, including tools for consumer engagement, marketing, and payments.
‘This is just Terraria vs Minecraft’
As soon as MrBeast uploaded the post on Instagram, fans had their say on the post. A fan commented, “This is just Terraria vs Minecraft” whereas another fan commented, “Thank god that thing is not in this video.” Another fan commented, “This puts in perspective how good our generation has it with the online world!! I work all day from my phone! LFG.”
Meanwhile, the official Shopify account commented, “p.s. Shopify isn’t just for e-commerce…you might want to look into that” whereas another fan commented, “Don't disrespect Ohio final boss, or he might unlock gear 5."
