SOUTHAMPTON, NEW YORK: Margaret Josephs, star of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' attended Jill Zarin's Luxury Luncheon in Southampton on July 29, where she spoke to Extra about the aftermath of the tumultuous 'RHONJ' reunion. As the 'RHONJ' star ominously rejected rumors that she would not film with Louie 'Luis' Ruelas, the internet has dubbed her the "Lisa Rinna of New Jersey," accusing her of using others for a storyline.
'RHONJ' may be fraught with tension both behind and in front of the cameras, but the show will continue on nonetheless. Margaret from 'RHONJ' has provided an update on rivals Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. The production will begin in mid-August, two months after the emotional three-part reunion. On Saturday, cameras followed actress Margaret to Jill Zarin's Luxury Luncheon, where she disputed rumors that she was refusing to film with Luis, Teresa's rather divisive husband.
'I just have standards'
In a new interview, 'RHONJ' star Margaret questioned if Teresa and Melissa had reconciled after the 'Namaste B$tches' co-host informed her sister-in-law she didn't want to see her face again. "I just think that ship has sailed," Margaret said on July 29 at SoFo's 34th Annual Summer Gala in Bridgehampton, New York, to The US Sun.
When asked if the stars will get along once production starts, the fashion designer said, "I don't. I don't think they will." "I think people who are meant to be together," she said, "will be together, and I think that's just the way it is." "It is a show about friendship, and some friendships stay together and some don't."
While there is no formal start date for filming, Margaret stated that she is happy with reuniting with everyone and does not need to psychologically prepare to go back in front of cameras. "I mean, I'm fine. We all took a little break and I'm just ready to be," she stated, then adding, "I think it's gonna be interesting. You know, hopefully, it's gonna be a lot lighter - that's the only thing I can hope for. I think I'll be a lot lighter."
Margaret also corrected allegations that she was terrified of filming alongside Teresa's husband, Luis. "I never said I was afraid to film with him. I'm not afraid to film with anybody. I think my position on the show has shown that I don't live in fear, I just have standards."
Regarding the turmoil that erupted between Teresa, Melissa, and Joe Gorga this season, Margaret is skeptical that this family will be eating together anytime soon. "You know what? I always hold that hope for families reuniting, but I don't think there's any hope."
She is hoping, nonetheless, for a terrific new season of 'RHONJ'. “I think I go into every season the same: just be authentically myself,” said Margaret, who has been on the Bravo reality show since 2017. “These women are my friends—most of them, I would say, are my friends. I really do love them. And you know, hopefully, most of us could get past things and just move it forward. That's what it's about, it's about a group of friends, opinionated women, and having a good time.”
'She wants to move FORWARD by bringing up the PAST'
Thrashing the 'RHONJ' star, users commented on a clip from the Extra interview, "Margaret has now become the Rinna of New Jersey. Always using everyone else for a storyline." Another person quipped, "Authentically herself 😂😂😂." One user pointed out, "The fact that there isn't much to ask Marge outside of Teresa questions is what really says it all." A fourth person wrote, "“Authentically myself” this one woman doesn’t have an authentic bone in her entire body. She has brought more harmful storylines about her cast to the show then anyone but Louie is the one we should fear?? Seriously."
Others threw jab at the star, writing, "She wants to move FORWARD by bringing up the PAST…giiiiirl ✌🏽😬." Another person added, "Standards 🤣🤣🤣 Didn't she break up her marriage for the plumber? She knows she was complaining about Louie." Some believe, "She needs the check." A user further commented, "Marge chose her words carefully when he spoke of not being "scared" to film with Louie."
