DENVER, COLORADO: Season 17 of ‘Married at First Sight’ will feature singles from Denver. The teaser image showcases five brides and five grooms, all dressed in wedding attire. However, one groom will face heartbreak as his wife gets cold feet and abandons him at the altar.
“For the first time in Married at First Sight history, five brides go to the altar, but only four come out married,” the trailer teases. “Who will be the jilted groom?” In the meantime, one of the bride’s voices can be heard stating, “I don’t think I can do this, I don’t want to marry a stranger.”
Michael Shiakallis looks to be the betrayed groom who has the misfortune of being partnered with his intended bride, Chloe Brown, who appears to have a case of cold feet and does not make it down the aisle to be taken for a wedding picture.
The teaser of Season 17 plays like a mystery short, featuring various brides and grooms expressing concerns about marrying a stranger. While weddings naturally bring nervousness and anxiety, the consistent participation of uncertain individuals in this social experiment, despite 17 seasons and nearly a million viewers per episode, remains puzzling.
‘MAFS’ Season 17 star Chloe Brown is a Senior Director at American Heart Association
In early 2022, Chloe became the American Heart Association’s (AHA) new Senior Director of the Heart of Denver campaign. Chloe must bring the AHA’s mission into the heart of Denver through the Heart Ball, Serve Days, Issue Salons, and Leaders for Life initiatives.
Chloe has extensive experience working with various non-profit organizations. Most recently, she held the position of Leadership Giving Manager at Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, where she successfully boosted the organization’s most significant individual donations.
Before her role at Habitat for Humanity, Chloe served as the Campaign Development Manager at The Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society for three years. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in overseeing the Charlotte region’s Man and Woman of the Year campaign, contributing to its growth from $1 million to $3 million.
Chloe was the AHA Senior Youth Market Director in Hawaii a decade ago. Chloe enjoys traveling, hiking, and binge-watching Yellowstone.
Chloe graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in political science, according to YouTube vlogger Tamara Lynette Tales. She has held positions as a campaign manager in Charlotte, North Carolina; district manager in Phoenix, Arizona; senior director in Honolulu, Hawaii; property manager in Auckland, New Zealand; and senior director in Denver at this time.
To wrap it up, Chloe has been all over the world.
Who is Michael Shiakallis on ‘MAFS’ Season 17?
California’s Stanton and Santa Ana are where Michael grew up. He attended the College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton.
In 2019, he may have relocated from California to Denver, where he is currently Lumen Technologies’ Head of SMS Digital Experience.
He took part in the Spartan Race in 2015. Subsequently, he was on a local news station, where he competed against Tom Brady for around fifty yards, losing to the latter.
Can contestants back out of the ‘Married at First Sight’ experiment?
It might be difficult for contestants to decide whether to stay married after the ‘MAFS’ 8-week trial term. Sometimes, the couples are in love and know they want their marriage to last, while other times, they are wary of the stranger they’ve just officially married.
Still, when they discover more about the other person, they may develop feelings of connection and curiosity about where things may go. In some other cases, one or both partners realize that the marriage isn’t working out before the two-month mark. Is it feasible to leave sooner? What if the other party is abusive?
Multiple leaks over the last year have mentioned a $50,000 penalty that a cast member must pay the program if they quit production early for an unjustifiable cause. This explains why cast members continue to shoot their narratives even when they are clearly tired.
The show’s contract information was released via the Instagram account @MAFSfan in February (2021.) This leak revealed the $50,000 fine. This penalty amount was confirmed by a pair of comments on the r/MarriedAtFirstSight subreddit, one of which referred to the Auntie’s Advice YouTube channel.
Season 17 of ‘Married at First Sight’ is set to debut on Lifetime on Wednesday, October 18, at 8 pm EDT.
