PHEONIX, ARIZONA: Fulfilling a heartwarming Thanksgiving wish, Make-A-Wish Arizona is making 4-year-old Luca's dream come true.

Diagnosed with respiratory failure, Luca, along with his five siblings and parents, will not only attend the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person but will also actively participate in the parade itself, creating a truly magical experience for the entire family.

Little Lucas wished to be 'a part of the parade'

For Luca and his family, watching the parade has been a cherished tradition. To ensure Luca's well-being, a nurse will accompany them, providing the necessary medical support, as per AZ Family news.

Luca's fascination with balloons, Christmas lights, and especially Santa Claus has inspired this unique wish.

A spokesperson from Make-A-Wish expressed, "This year, his wish to be a part of the parade will transform his holiday into an unforgettable experience."

Facing the uncertainty of their situation, Luca's mother, Kamber Goff, expressed, "We don't know how many days we have. We hope that we have a whole lot! And that's the goal and the plan, but to have this to look forward to with him and to plan it out."

Despite a recent emergency room visit, the family managed to discuss their upcoming trip with Luca, providing a welcome distraction.

Kamber shared, "We pulled up pictures on our phone of the museum we're going to go to. And it was so great. While he was getting all of his pokes, he was able to focus in on the fun, and we were able to stay positive with him, and that's such a big thing for us."

The anticipation of the planned trip brought joy to Luca amid his medical challenges, emphasizing the power of positive moments for the family.

How many wishes have been granted by Make-A-Wish Foundation?

Thanks to the generosity of Make-A-Wish donors and the dedication of over 43,000 volunteers globally, the organization has united in granting over 550,000 wishes worldwide.

Together, these contributions have brought joy, hope, and unforgettable experiences to countless children facing critical illnesses.

Make-A-Wish Arizona stands as the pioneering chapter of the global wish-granting organization. Originating in the '80s, the charity was inspired by the poignant wish of Christopher James Greicius, a seven-year-old battling leukemia who dreamed of becoming a police officer.

The community rallied to fulfill his wish, giving rise to the organization's mission. Since then, Make-A-Wish has continued to fulfill the dreams of children worldwide through its expanding network of chapters.

Reflecting on Luca's upcoming wish, Kamber shared, "Last night, we were talking about it, and he just got a communication device, and he just said, 'Let's go! Let's go!' He was so ready to go. He got a beautiful red coat from Macy's for the parade, so he's nice and warm."

Luca's eagerness and the community's support encapsulate the enduring impact of Make-A-Wish's mission.
